Just returned from a long ski weekend with 2 friends in Steamboat. We were told that Torian Plum was ski in/out and was close to everything. This was 100% accurate. Torian Plum is made of 2 buildings. The newer one is Creekside, the one we stayed in is called Tower I believe. We were in room 304 which was a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit with a full kitchen, living room and seperate dining area. This place is certainly large enough for a family of 6...maybe even 7 ot 8 people. Our condo overlooked the Terry's Ski rentals, another store and the Slopeside Grill. We could clearly see the slopes and it was no more than a 50 yard walk to the snow where you could strap on the boots and ski down to the Gondola. The condo was well appointed but it was not new. Honestly, it was fine but I would not say it is a platinum rated place...more like gold rating. Besides, I am not even sure if they use this rating system. The temperature of the unit was easy to control because each room had its own wall heating. The unit had a gas fireplace with a timer...nice feature!! We only had 2 minor complaints...TV did not work and the hot water did not work. ResortQuest had someone at the unit within 5 minutes both times...probably within two minutes to tell the truth. Both problems were fixed easily. Torian Plum uses the ResortQuest shuttle service. This service will take you anywhere in town with a simple phone call. We used this service to go to the Grocery store and out to eat. Truthfully, Torian Plum is the best location in Steamboat. You are 50 yards from the slopes, 25 yards from The Tugboat bar and 25 yards from the Slopeside Grill (best pizza in the West!). I think we paid a little more for ResortQuest but you can always count on them getting it right. I would rate this place a 5 star except for the fact that the decor was a little outdated for a ResortQuest property. That being said, next year I will bring the entire family definitely stay at Torian Plum.
