“A good night's sleep for next to nothing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2011

I stayed at the Pokolodi last week and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a super comfy king bed. I used the little in room coffee maker and took my cup of joe out to my private balcony where I took advantage of the free WiFi by catching up on my emails. The hot tub felt great after hiking up the mountain. I'll be back for sure.

We return to this property each summer for a local beer fest and concert. The staff is friendly and work hard to keep the property clean. The is a pool and hot tub with spectacular views. A breakfast is provided, which is continuously stocked by the staff. The bus stop is in front of the hotel. Plenty of parking and walking distance to the mall/slopes which is helpful when you have kids.

Going to Snowmass and skiing is going to cost you an arm and a leg, but the best value to be found is the Pokolodi Lodge. It is about 100 yards from the slopes down Daly Lane. The staff was friendly, the rooms just what you need for a ski weekend, Hot tub and pool out back apres ski and even a nice wine and cheese event during the week. Located right beside the Snowmass Village mall, close also to shops, restaurants, etc. Staff picked us up and took us to the airport which saved a bundle on taxis as well. It is not the Ritz but it does not pretend to be. The other travelers there came from around the world which I thinks gives it a great atmosphere.

We had a very nice stay at the Pokolodi Lodge. It is perfectly located, very close to the slopes and all the stores / restaurants. The continental breakfast is good and sufficient before a full day skiing. Joe, the general manager made a big difference during our stay as he was always taking care of his guests. Definitely would like to go back.

I stayed in the Pokolodi Lodge in January of 2011, for a ski trip. The hotel has a good cost benefit. It is very well located - a few steps from Snowmass Mall and close to the slopes (you can walk easily with your skis). The room is very nice, with some amenities. I stayed at a room facing the pool - there was no noise from the street, like I saw in other reviews. Very quiet. The only negative point is that the window faces a open hallway, and if you want privacy you have to keep the curtains closed. But it was not a bid deal. Other than that, the hotel is great. The staff was very friendly and tried to help whenever they could. Would definately stay there again. If you are looking for a good hotel in Snowmass, for a reasonable price, this is a great choice.

I have stayed at the Pokolodi Lodge in Snowmass CO for 10 years and want to extol the virtues of its location, its value for the dollar and its staff; particularly its staff.

The Pokolodi is located about 300 feet from the slopes and an easy cruise down to the main lift. It is across and up an elevator from bus transport everywhere in the area including the other three Aspen-Snowmass resorts. Further, it has numerous restaurants and shops also within 350 feet.

Its value is exceptional as its accommodations are wonderful and its prices surprisingly moderate for its location.

The best part of staying here is the responsiveness of the staff. For example, they always have my bed board in place before my arrival, store my bags delivered by FedEx and place them in my room and are near instantly available to address any issue.

The one thing that stood out the most, however, was yesterday when I had a crisis related to a closing and had to get a notarized document to my settlement attorney in Alexandria VA the next morning. I learned of this at 2:15 pm. The manager personally printed the document, had me shuttled to the notary and then again to the FedEx office at the Airport. We beat the deadline there by 12 minutes. This, however, may not have been noteworthy except for the fact that they were overwhelmed by arrivals and departures that were bunched together because of the airline disruptions nation wide caused by the weather.

My husband and I have stayed at the Pokolodi Lodge many times, we come 3 times a year for a week and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else (unless we hit the lottery and could stay at the Little Nell). The rooms are very clean, and you can't beat the convenience to the lifts and to the village. Its the best bargain in Snowmass and Snowmass is the best mountain in Colorado.
