“nice swim, indoors with chlorine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

I liked swimming in warm spring water. The do add chlorine/bromine however. This facility is indoors as well.
It loses some charm but does allow for swimming in bad weather. The staff did not tell us there was a soaking pool that my friend could have used while I swam. That was very unfortunate.

“Hot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

The creek springs are the best, you can make the pools as warm or cold as you like by moving some rocks. Only con is that it isnt as deep as the pools.

“roof is such a plus, slightly pricey, no sulfur smell”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We spend a lot of our summer at this pool. The fact that it is roofed is a HUGE plus in my opinion. We tend to get afternoon thunder bumpers around here and you can continue cavorting in the pool with no fear of lightning since it's roofed. The other plus is that there is no sulfur smell. The temp. in the warm pool is 98 degrees which is my absolute perfect soaking temp. The lap pool at 89 degrees is a good temp. on warm days and also just right to be comfortable but not too tiring for doing laps.

“Fun warm Pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

Nice little spot with a big pool with a diving board for kids which is nice and warm.
The next pool is smaller, and is warmer, but not too warm for babies, etc. This is where we spent most of our time, with the jets it felt very nice!
Above that is a kiddie splash pool, and the kids looked like they were having a blast, with little splash fountains, etc!
My only complaint was that there could have been a hotter pool to REALLY relax the muscles.
Great facilities, though, with changing areas, lockers, restrooms and showers.

“Private Tubs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

My husband and I were recently on an overnight trip to Salida, and decided to reserve one of the private hot springs tubs at Salida Hot Springs. Upon arriving, we were taken to a separate building where the tubs were. There was one shared bathroom, and then the individual tub rooms. The rooms were a decent size, and completely private with a closing door. There was the tub and then an area to change with a large bench for seating. The tub itself was just about 4 stairs going down, then an open square at the bottom. It is not a very large area. You fill up the tub yourself and are able to control the hot and cold water. The water comes out VERY hot! There are no chemicals used, its just the natural hot springs water. You can rent the private tubs for an hour, and they are $12 for the first person and $6 for each additional person. It is a little pricey compared to other private hot springs that we have visited, especially for the tub being so basic (and small). Nice experience and friendly staff though.
