My daughter and her fiance' just had their wedding at The Ranch a week ago. Because of the natural surroundings of the beautiful Colorado Mountains, the wedding was beautiful. However the owner dampened the day with her overall rudeness and verbal profane abuse to our wedding guests. Her fit was caused by the fact of cars being parked where she didn't want them. Odd as it may seem, the cars were parked in front of a "Parking" sign, who Knew?????
Just minutes before the ceremony she was screaming at the wedding party, photographer, and guests at random, telling them to (---) off and demanding members (in their tuxedos) to move the cars to another location. My son, one of the groomsmen, started moving cars, as had others to try to keep the wedding on time. The guests then had to walk back to the wedding through various feces of the horses, goats, and geese that roam randomly through the property.
The interior was a disappointment as well as there were dead flys all over the bedrooms where the bride and her attandents were getting ready. As the evening wore on, the insect infestation inside the B&B was terrible. The screen doors being in such ill-repair did nothing to keep any insect that God created outside. Since there was no "breakfast " in the B&B, we can only assume the "B&B" stood for Bed and Bugs. Some of the guests who had planned on staying in one of the four bedrooms I had paid for chose to stay in another motel due to the amount of bugs dropping into the beds.
Part of the agreement when contracting the "B&B" was to have a live dove release at the end of the ceremony which also did not happen. As as a business advertising as a wedding venue, one would have thought there would be sufficient electricle supply to such things as cooking and D.J. Wrong once again.
Overall I am very regretful of having used the Ranch as a site for such a special day. It's hard to maintain a focus on the reason for the gathering when you are having to apologize to guests for poor behavior from the one you were so grossly over charged. For the money she made on this weekend, one could have had a very pleasant experience elsewhere.
