We were lucky to have Harry one of the mainstays of the voluntarily operated museum to show us around and give us a personal tour. His knowledge of the aircraft and the crew was outstanding and clearly he loves his job. Well worth a visit

I went here since I had some time to kill after attending a weding in Colorado Springs, and before my flight took off back to my home town. It was an easy 30 minute jaunt (75 mph speed limit makes it go by fast) and then off to the airport.

The museum is staffed by folks that love airplanes, and they have a bunch of military hardware on hand, including a rare-as-hens teeth B-29 Bomber. Now this plane is being restored, so you can see that she needs some TLC and aluminum polish, but the chance to stand next to the wheels, or inside the bomb bay? How can you POSSIBLY pass that up?

There are a good variety of other aircraft from the piston to the jet age, including my personal favorite, the "Flame Out - Get Out" F-104 Starfighter! It was basically a huge engine strapped to two stubby wings.

If you are looking for a place to burn a few hours, and you love military aircraft, this museum could tickle your fancy nicely!

Pueblo, through the work of countless dedicated volunteers and donors, has a broad-based museum occupying two large hangars. The docents are knowledgeable and friendly. Surprising to find something so rewarding in a town of this size. You're walking between, around and under countless aircraft, and stand in awe of the wartime sacrifices of those who manned them.

The aircraft museum is great. I've been to the airport museum at Pearl Harbor and this is one is excellent in comparison. The cost is low per person and there are a lot of airplanes, helicopters and military artifacts to view. The best time to visit is during an open cockpit day.
