The place used to be the The Villa, then it was something else, and now it's back to The Villa.
We always liked the location and fine dining experience of the original restaurant.
So, we decided to give the "new" place a try.
First, Service. Excellent!
Our primary server used to work next door at the B&E (now something else as well).
That restaurant was also a fine dining format. She obviously brought those skills with her.
We were well attended to by her and the other staff.
2nd, Food. No so good.
We all had different meals.
Presentation was good but all of them were over seasoned/WAY too salty!
Also, the chef seems to be a little heavy handed with the garlic. Too much, on everything.
We had dinner salads with the creamy parmesan dressing. They were over dressed, drenched in the dressing. And again, too much garlic.
Prep timing was a little off. One meal was hot while the other two appeared to have been sitting for a bit while waiting to complete the other.
In addition to the inevitable "horse breath" from the garlic, we all had stomach/intestinal discomfort soon after leaving the restaurant. Burping, gassey type discomfort.
We were affected throughout the night, and the next morning, as a matter of fact.
We don't plan on going back any time soon. And I wouldn't recommend The Villa at this time.
There are many other fine dining establishments in the area that would be a better choice.
