I stayed in Ouray on a recommendation of a friend, & can say that I was not disappointed in the town or my choice in hotel. My room was excellent & pleasantly modern & well-kept. I got excellent recommendations from the staff for arranging my activities, which I appreciated as a last-minute planner. As for the hotel features, I can say that definitely appreciate the breakfasts & recovering in the hot tub or pool w/ the mountains site rounding me. I want to come back, & so this is the hotel that I'd trust to come back to for the second visit.

The hot breakfasts prepared by Guido and Donna were a great way to start the day. Jeep rentals onsite to travel into the mountains, then finish the day with a soak in the hot springs pools. We had a great time!

We were very impressed. We stayed here about 10 years ago when our children were small and were pleasantly surprised, noting that the interior of the rooms had been re-done. We chose this hotel again because of its proximity to Box Canon and the buffet style breakfast. The chefs (Guido and Donna) could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The selection of breakfast foods did become redundant, however we were there for 6 days. Tim, Ryan, and Duane were wonderful. We arrived early on our first day and were offered drinks and snacks forthe kids, on the house. Tim quickly made sure our room was ready, even though we arrived 4 hours before check in. The pool was emptied and cleaned at least once during our stay, and it was not disruptive to the guests. They must have done this when most people were out hiking and exploring. The housekeeping staff was amazing. Our new carpet was spot cleaned everyday, and not only did they clean the room but they tidied up our items, not an easy task with a family of 4 in a small motel room. One criticism...it would be lovely if they had more chairs in their lovely lawn area. Most guests gathered there in the evening for drinks, socialization, and to watch their kids play shuffleboard. The lawn is definitely large enough for multiple families and small groups to gather and not be on top of each other. We will definitely return. The customer service was outstanding.

The breakfast selection and service was outstanding! Omelettes to order, home made waffles, applewood smoked bacon, and the usual such as cereal, oatmeal, yogurt. Oh! And the next great thing is fresh pineapple and strawberries! I could go on and on. Excellent. Guido & Donna are a valuable resource!

We stayed at this property with our 4 year old daughter. The hotel is in the typical faux Swiss style Ouray is known for and is motel-style (all doors are exterior). The outside is dated, though well cared for. Rooms seem to have been redecorated and are comfortable (though not large). Our daughter enjoyed swimming in the pool, which is fed by the Hot Springs and was a refreshing change from the cold indoor pools that so many hotels offer. The only negative comment is that the pool could have used a good vaccuum - there was a significant amount of sand buildup and debris floating in the pool. It is within walking distance from the main drag, which offered a lot of nice restaurants and shops. We did not eat at the hotel, though the restaurant seemed cute with a nice outdoor patio and views of the mountains. We also left too early for breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend this property as a stop-over destination.

The setting of Ouray is just hard to describe. Wherever you are in town you have fantastic scenery all around you. The Best Western is located within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in town. The motel itself was very clean and the employees were nice, smiling and friendly. Great breakfast with omelets made just for you and the way you like them. I hope that I will be able to stay there again someday.

This Best Western is not fancy, but adequately equipped in a good location just off the main street in Ouray, a pretty little town in the mountains. The free hot breakfast is in a separate building with a devoted chef and much variety. Don't miss the homemade biscuits.
