Over the 4th of July 2003, four of us stayed at the China Clipper Inn.
We were very excited about our pick of this B&B and had looked forward to it for quite a while. Unfortunately. upon arrival on the 4th we were greated by someone who didn't have the time for introductions and immediately showed us to our room.
The B&B is very nice, as well as it is in a great location.
Unfortunately there was no welcome to the B&B. We felt (as well as others we talked with) that we were unwelcome guests in a distant relatives home. At times, no one seemed to be around at all and there was no one to ask about area attractions.
One morning we were seated at breakfast and the person cooking left - unsure her location, another employee questioned if we had been served almost 20 minutes after we sat down. We finally were served, but it was very rushed and the missing employee offered no apologies upon her return.
If you are not looking for the B&B feel and service that most B&B's are known for, this would be a good place to stay. If it is hospitality you are looking for, I would not recommend it.
