One of our best stays in Ouray. The colors were beautiful. The Inn was great. Very quiet and comfortable. In my opinion one of the best places to stay in Ouray. Many of the other hotels and BnBs are old and not nearly as comfortable. We will stay again.

The inn is beautiful...our room was comfortable. BUT...when I stay at a B&B, I like to feel a bit more at home. Each night, at home, I have a cup of tea, however here, I felt like the kitchen was off limits. Breakfasts were okay. The service during breakfast was excellent. The young girl serving us was attentive and sweet.
Will probably try a new place next time.

We recently spent a week at the China Clipper and it was a wonderful experience. Our room (the Captain's Quarters) was lovely and quite large. Comfy king size bed and a great private deck on the 2nd floor facing the mountains that surround the town. Also a great jacuzzi tub, big enough for two.

The breakfasts were very good, and also quite large. The owners make you feel very welcome but respect your privacy. They also put out wine and cheese every afternoon in the kitchen, a nice informal way to meet other guests and share travel experiences. Since we don't carry a laptop on vacation it was also convenient that they provided computer internet service.

The inn is also in a great location in Ouray, 1 block off of Main St. and very central to all the restaurants. It was nice to be able to leave the car and walk to anywhere we wanted.

Ouray is a great town to stay in for all the area sight seeing, close to Telluride, the Black Canyon and of course the Million $ Highway.
If we're ever in CO again, we will definately stay at the China Clipper.

We spent three nights in Ouray staying at the China Clipper Inn and had a fabulous time. The Inn was a perfect homebase for exploring Ouray and the limitless activities that can be found in the environs. Breakfast and happy hour at the Inn were lots of fun, the hosts made everyone feel very comfortable. Rooms were large and very comfortable.

My husband and I recently spent three nights at the China Clipper Inn, in one of their "premium" first floor rooms. We felt it was a bit cramped. Lots of furniture, but only one chair. (There were two plastic chairs and a table just outside the room, but a cigar-smoking guest prevented us from sitting out there one evening.) Also, we were able to hear the guests above us, and the shower from adjoining rooms. Fortunately, we weren't in Ouray to sit in our room, so it worked out okay. The hosts were very accommodating. Breakfast food was tasty and plentiful; however, not very imaginative. (We had egg dishes all three mornings.) There is also lemonade, wine and cheese provided in the early evening. All in all, a good experience.
