“Italian Cuisine in the Mountains”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

We decided to visit Ouray, CO and were blessed to stumble upon this restaurant. The atmosphere, service and food were all fantastic. I had the chicken piccata and it was really delicious...perfectly cooked chicken, lovely butter, lemon and caper sauce all accompanied by pasta and green beans almondine. And to top off a great meal...bread pudding. So, so good!

“Wonderful meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014 via mobile

We had a wonderful meal at Bon Ton. Everything was fresh and piping hot when it reached the table. We had the most excellent service from Mary Pat! We ordered the chicken parmesan, spaghetti with pesto, tuscan chicken pasta, an order of garlic bread and a bottle of zin. Everything was excellent! Highly recommended.

“Excellent Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

Though we arrived close to closing time, we were treated as if we had all night to eat. My husband is Gluten-free and there were enough choices for him to make a selection that gave him some options. When he said he could not have the crabcake that went with his salmon because of another allergy, they gave him more salmon as the substitute. I had spaghetti and meatballs there were excellent. I took some back to the hotel. The atmosphere was pleasant and excellent service.

“Amazing hidden jewel in Ouray”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

There is good reason this is the #1 restaurant in Ouray on Trip Advisor! This Italian restaurant in the basement of the 1889 St Elmo hotel rivals anything you will find in Little Italy in NYC or on The Hill in St Louis in atmosphere, service and food quality. Amazing experience for a restaurant in tiny Ouray, Colorado.

Everything from the garlic bread with homemade marinara sauce to the salads, entree's and dessert was top-notch. I have to say the marinara was hands-down the best I've tasted and the angel hair pesto with scallops was incredible. A member of the party was celebrating a birthday and they provided a complimentary serving of their signature decadent dessert, The Black Nasty. Sinfully rich and a wonderful way to top off the perfect dining experience.

The service was impeccable from start to finish and it became apparent very quickly how popular this restaurant is by how quickly it filled up on a weeknight prior to the busy season. This will be a must-visit on future trips to Ouray. Bravo!!
