We stayed two nights at the Ouray Victorian Inn with our Dog. The room was clean and very comfortable and the people working the Inn were very nice.
The only complaint I had is that we had a first-floor corner room next to the ice machine and the stairs. The first night (a Saturday) it was very noisy until after 11 p.m. with people walking around upstairs. Sunday night was very quiet. If you ask for a top-floor room, you probably won't have this problem.
The hotel is very close to town, we walked everywhere. The continental breakfast is average (and included). You can make your own soft-boiled eggs (we didn't) and they also have hard-boiled eggs made for you. Breakfast is served in a nice sun room that is lined with posters and autographed pictures and maps from a number of well-known mountaineers and extreme-sports people.
This hotel has two very nice hot tubs, which were uncrowded when we were there. Although the sign says the tubs close at 10 p.m., the gate was locked at 9 p.m.
The hotel is pet friendly and there were a number of dogs there during our stay.
The views are fantastic, but there's really not a bad view anywhere in Ouray.
For the price, this hotel can't be beat!

When we arrived in Ouray, most of the motels/hotels were full. We obtained a room at the Victorian Inn. I assumed we were settling for second best since it was one of the last to fill up. NOT SO! I can only conclude that most travelers did not know about this Inn. I am one of those travelers who usually feels very uncomfortable in a hotel...so worried about cleanliness. I was delighted when we entered the room. The furniture was nicer than usually found, the bed was outfitted in newer looking, non-worn sheets and pillowcases and room and bath were clean, clean, clean. I was so happy not to have that awful feeling of having to wipe every surface with a disinfectant wipe. I even carry my own sheets but did not use them here. We slept well and enjoyed a better than usual breakfast. Believe it or not, eggs and whole wheat toast were available. So many times there is nothing but sweet rolls. The dining room was inviting and roomy.
All in all we felt very fortunate that the first places we tried were booked. We will definitely stay again in the Victorian Inn on our next trip through Ouray.

The location of this place is great and the outdoor hot tubs were amazing after a long day driving!

The room was big and had a nice view. It was perfectly clean. The room was not luxurious, of course, but that cannot be expected for the price. All in all it was great value for money and I would be happy to stay there again.

We had a king suite for $117 (with AAA discount) and thought it was a very good deal for the price. The room had a mini-fridge, fans but no a/c (although we didn't need it) and a small balcony just feet away from a mountain river. It was clean, looked newly renovated and was in good shape. There was a large front room with TV, king bed, fridge, table and chairs and a small bedroom in the back with only a king bed, with the bathroom in between. The back bedroom had a door so the bathroom and main room could be closed off. The only negative aspect was that the room was on the 2nd floor off a wrap-around balcony which was a bit noisy late at night. The hotel is on the edge of town in a quiet area but is just a few short blocks from the main street.

Our stay took place last year but I never got a chance to write a review. Anyway, The Victorian Inn is a great place to stay. The price is excellent for the very nice accomodations and the only thing I felt was lacking was a mini fridge but I see on their website that they have been added.
We originally wanted to stay at the Hot Springs Inn but they adamantly refused to provide a crib of any kind. I am so glad we did not stay there because I did not like the location at all. Right on a main road next to a gas station. You could not walk into town.
The Victorian Inn has the best location- at the end of a side street on the edge of town but still within easy walking distance of all shops and restaurants. We loved strolling back to the hotel with an ice cream cone after dinner.
The hot tubs and play ground were perfectly clean and lovely. The breakfast was simple, but for the price I thought it was fine. It was nice to grab something before setting out for the day.
Highly recommended!
