We were in Ouray for two nights in late August and stopped at O'Briens for an afternoon snack. We decided to try the Buffalo Chicken Sliders and the Leprechan Balls. Both were delicious! The sliders were not that small and you get three of them with a spicey buffalo wing sauce that is probably in the medium range for heat which worked out great for us. The real surprise though were the Leprechan Balls. These are small skinless whole potatoes that seem to be blanched and then baked and rolled in the same medium buffalo wing sauce as the sliders. They are terrific! The drinks were made with a healthy pour and we felt they were a good value for the price. So we returned the next evening and tried the Corned Beef and Cabbage which was nicely done and though the cabbage tasted a bit more like sauerkraut than expected the dish was still very good. We also had the Chicken and Dumplings and found it to be good but not as great as the other dishes we tried. We also had another order of the Leprechan Balls as an appetizer and they remain our favorite. I need to mention the salad which we also shared. It had a nice variety of greens and salad stuff but the real star is the raspberry vinagerette dressing! It's rich in raspberry flavor and has a consistancy much like a yogurt dressing...excellent. Since we were there in August we chose to be seated outside on the deck with freash air and street sights. Overall we can easily recommend O'Briens for the food, the drinks, the friendly atmosphere and the good service.
