We stayed at this hotel as it was nicely positioned on the 'Peak to Peak' highway that runs N-S along the Rockies between Denver and Estes Park - a very enjoyable, scenic, route. We had headed for Nederland because my wife is Dutch, so we had to say we had stayed there!
Nederland is a very small town and the hotel is situated right in its centre. It is of a 'rustic' design and everthing was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was standard BW continental fare.
The only negative point I would record is the extraordinarily amateur way that air conditioning units have been installed in the upstairs rooms - in our room, a window had simply been opened (with the opened pane still there, open to the elements), with the a/c unit fitted in the gap, the balance of the opening being simply filled up with perspex. We didn't need to use the a/c, but I suspect it may be rather noisy in use as it's really just sitting in the window frame, surrounded by perspex.
A friendly, convenient, hotel with attractive rates.
