“Nederland Thai Restaurant AMAZING!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Pad Thai is to die for. Finally Thai food in the mountains. Now Kathmandu isn't the only good place for ethnic foods in Ned.

“Picture not the Thai Rest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

Run by people who know how to cook Pad Thai and great dumplings (Mo-Mo). The price is right. Handy. Right on the traffic circle in the heart of Ned

“Nepalese food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

I eat here with my daughter. We always come for the lunch buffet. The nan bread is fantastic. The unique food is always a great variety. An adventure in eating.

“My new favorite restaurant in Ned”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

I really enjoyed this restaurant and will make it a regular stop when we visit Nederland.

As one reviewer noted before, this is Nederland where restaurant service is "laid back". However, our waiter was pretty attentive, making sure that drinks were re-filled or replaced, etc.

I was really pleased with the food and the value. Most entrees were less than $10 and were of good portion size, great freshness and good flavor. Three of us had curries, and the medium curry was hot enough for our spice lovers. The noodles and salad were also good, but it was a little odd to get rice on the side with a salad.

The atmosphere is not remarkable. Not good, not bad, just a restaurant somewhere above "casual dining" but below "fine dining".

“Crazy slow + average food = Bummer”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

The ambiance is weird. I forget what this restaurant was before it was Thai, but in any case it's an A-frame diner that never got an update when Thai moved there. Not that it's gross, it's just that you can tell nobody has updated it since the 80's.

The service is really slow. Our food took 1hr45min to get to us (and we only got two dishes), at which point we were kind of ready to leave. So granted, by the time the food arrived we were already "over it."

Admittedly, the food was good (not great, but above average)...maybe calling ahead and ordering take-away would be better? Oh, and for the two dishes, appetizer and beer for two, we paid $60...which felt slightly steep for the quality of the experience. It didn't feel like a good value.
