“Great place for relaxing WITH kids!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We had a wonderful time at Mt. Princeton! We stayed in a room right in the lodge that had 3 Queen beds. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The employees were very friendly and accommodating as well! The pools were the best part, of course! The water slide was fun for kids and adults and the views were amazing!! The hot springs in the river were very relaxing! I will be back to this place with the kids! They had a great time and I was actually able to relax! My kids were 10, 7, and 4 at the time!

“Hot Springs Raincheck”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

I'd personally like to thank Danyel who was working the lower pool level service desk at the Mt Princeton Hot Springs on Thursday August 29, 2013. I had just gotten there to relax and soak (while I was camping in the area for the week) when about 100 6th graders showed up and took over the adult pools as the children's pools had just closed at 6pm. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed when the pools were full of kids. I'd like to thank Danyel for her professionalism, sense of humor, and kindness, in giving me and another couple a raincheck to come back another day. Thanks again Danyel, you rock! Sincerely, Cassy H

“Outstanding Views, Challenging Hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

Mt. Princeton is a great place to hike for a day or more. It is easily accessible from town with parking at the base of the mountain. There are no restroom or food facilities, however, and the hike is treacherous in places.

From the bottom of the mountain to the top, the hike is about 12 miles round trip, so this is a hike for experienced hikers, or at least for those who wish to break the hike up into two days. Weather can change in an instant, and we find conditions are best in the early morning.

We took a jeep up the trail - four-wheel drive only - and parked at the base of the towers. Hiking from the towers to the top is approximately 3 miles one way, so 6 miles round trip for this particular hike.

Views at the top are absolutely amazing, and it was worth the hike. Highly recommend proper gear/boots, hat/sun protection, and plenty of water and snacks.

“What a surprise and relaying day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Price is very much something to consider it is not cheap here , but you can't go anywhere and enjoy something like this. We took our twenty something kids and they love it!! which was great for us. The river was just so relaxing and they could have their space and we could have ours and still enjoy the same thing! Take your drinks and just kick back and relax!
Danyel the front desk clerk was friendly and gave us a wonderful suggestion where to have a great dinner in Buena vista. Very clean locker rooms, with soap and towel for rent if you choose. We will put this on the go back list for sure!

“Hot Springs Eternal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

A little pricey but discount coupons abound in Buena Vista. Had a great time, very relaxing. Did not stay at the Lodge. The hot springs pool are roomy and comfortable, the water temperature seems to vary dependent on your location in the pool, so everyone can find " their" spot. Very relaxing after a day of hiking. Would like to go here again. If the river spots are open that is a definite must do.
