“Nice, inexpensive place to spend a night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Owners are working hard to renovate a '60s motel. Clean rooms, new carpet, paint, really good breakfast. Don't be put off by the signage or drive up. Would recommend for a quick stay in the area, pool area looked nice for a summer stay.

Yes we have put a lot into the remodel of Sundance. Thanks for noticing the hard work. There are many, many summer activities close by so come back! We are a very good deal for all the atmosphere you get! Gary

My wife and I took advatage of a coupon special and stayed 1 night. This was our second stay at the Sundance. Although this experience was alright, our first stay was better.
We were greeted by friendly staff at the front desk. Once we were checked in, we proceeded to our room. Due to the programming of the swipe card, we had difficululty getting into our room and made repeated trips to the front desk for resolution. The accomodations were fine and clean, but a little bit of a musty smell after a while in the room. It seemed as though the room had not been stayed in for a while.
The resturant offered a variety of menu items. We enjoyed some great appetizers while we watched sports on the tv. The food and wait staff were fantastic. The continental breakfast was superb.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, since we have outdoor corridors our key card system can get touchy, especially in the winter. I am glad our staff was accommodating. I get SO many good comments on them. Gary

We enjoyed our stay even though it was one of the coldest weekends ever! We were really surprised when the "continental breakfast" was a full breakfast....it was awesome! The view would of been great except the weather was so miserable we spent most of our time inside. Would like to stay there in the summer time to enjoy the view and the grounds more. People at the front desk were very helpful and cordial.

Thanks for taking time to write such a pleasant review. We do have wonderful grounds and views in the summer. Come and have a BBQ by the pond and feed the ducks, or do a nearby hike.
Please come again. Gary

We celebrated our anniversary at the Sundance Mt. Lodge in Mounument, Colorado. Our room was wonderful. We ate dinner there and the salmon fettucini was great, too. The people at the front desk were friendly and accomodating. My husband said it was our best anniversary ever.

Room Tip: Stay at one of the rooms near the waterfall.

Room was fantastic and right by a small waterfall. Staffis extremely friendly and made us feel at home. The restaurant and bar are great. Friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We were so happy we picked this hotel. It's very easy to go to any one of the close tourist towns. Plus to Colorado Springs and Denver.

I am so pleased that you had a pleasant stay. We have worked hard to create an inviting atmosphere, adding the waterfalls and log bridges and paths etc... It is wonderful to hear from happy guests who notice the effort we have put in. Please come back. Gary

I am from Denver and I went to this hotel as part of a romantic getaway package and really liked everything about it. I liked that the room was cozy and unique and it had a little patio outside. It did not feel like a boring chain type hotel but more like a creative place. That made it romantic for us. My wife loved it too, especially the walking paths and the waterfall. We had dinner in the restaurant there and it was also very good. Try the diablo shrimp.

Room Tip: be sure it has a patio

I was visiting family in Monument with my husband and we stumbled upon this cute hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The rooms had interesting decor and photography of Colorado Trees apparently done by the owner of the hotel, the grounds were beautiful with mature trees and walking paths and the food was excellent at the restaurant on site, Oakleys. It also has a boutique/artsy feel in the lobby and in the rooms. And it was clean and well run. We will stay here every time we return.

Room Tip: The rooms in courtyard seem to have a nice view. Some face the highway and could be noisy.
