We have stayed at this hotel the last couple of times we've been in the area (we use Montrose as a jumping-off point because it's centrally-located to some of our favorite spots) and have always been pleased. The service is great; Ryan (I believe that's his name) has always greeted us and been super-friendly and helpful with finding things in the area.

This hotel is located on one of the main drags in town and is close to good eating and decent shopping. A large Target is located nearby, as well as some other large stores.

The decor is nice, the layout makes sense, and it's a very quiet place to stay. We recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay (and eat breakfast - yum to the o with those cinnamon rolls!) in Montrose.

We went to hotwire.com to get an excellent room rate than walked into the hotel to be greeted by an extremely nice and helpful young man. (I didn't get his name.) Check in was very quick and easy and we were in our room within minutes. The room is large with a very comfortable king size bed. The ac unit worked very well too. The bathroom is also large and the shower is very nice. It even has the curved shower rod, to which I'm partial. Dinner at the El Jimador, within walking distance, came highly recommended and it was delicious. The pool is opening today, the day we leave, but it looks great. There is a lap lane for serious swimmers.
The tasty, hot breakfast is the normal fare for hotels; omelet, bacon, biscuits and sausage gravy, cereals, toast, bagels, milks, yogurt, bananas, good coffee; good service too. The breakfast room was clean with enough tables for a small crowd. A good meal included with the price.
All in all a very good stay!

Stayed here in June for one night only - reservation was made LAST AUGUST, using our Priority Club points. When we arrived the pool was under construction, as well and the breakfast room (it seems they had a temporary set up in an employee break room. At HIEs at other locations they have a wonderful lounge-like set up. We soon discovered there were only two bath towels and one washcloth in the room, plus old pilly, rough sheets. Asked the cleaning staff - no English spoken. Went to the Front Desk and were told they were having a problem with there linens and they had new on order and were waiting for the shipment. Didn't help us - did it? Wrangled another bath towel and asked to speak with the Manager - not available. Left the next morning and after getting home called the Home Office. They took down the info and said the hotel mgr would call. Heard nothing. Two weeks later called the HOme Office again and were told the hotel credited our account back about 20%. When I expressed concern about not hearing from the local Manager the Home Office credited back the full amount. Should not have to jump through hoops like this. There are other chains out there that have MUCH better service and guarantees. Skip Montrose HIE. We also stayed at another Priority Club property - Staybridge Suites - and were estatic with the service and accomodations.

we stayed here 6-2 and 6-3 . the room was great, very comfortable, location of hotel not very good, it's a hassle to get into and out of.the breakfast was very good. they were renovating this 15 year old property, which i thought looked great as it was. the pool was being worked on , so no swimming .
