Choose to stay here after checking out others along our route, rate was higher then we like to pay and it was a nice experience! Room was clean, bed was great and the room was very roomy! Staff and clerks were very friendly and
helpful. Breakfast was very nice as well as the chocolate chip cookies for when we checked in.

If you find yourself in Montrose don't look any farther than the Red Arrow. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. Room was spotless and very comfortable. We got a good recommendation for a dinner place (Red Barn) that was excellent also had a very friendly staff.

The breakfast was FANTASTIC!! Omelets, pancakes almost anything you could want for breakfast.

We were coming from Telluride, had an early flight the next morning. We picked the Best Western based on reputation, price, and location. The staff makes this location perfect! Jose is a man of all trades. When we first arrived, he was washing the stairs to the second floor, where we were staying. He greeted us with a genuine hello. Then, he was tending to the rose gardens, which are all over the grounds, simply beautiful, a lovely surprise. We had a bit of trouble finding the ice machine which was in another building. Jose not only told us where it was, he took us directly there. That is when he promised the best breakfast we would have in the morning. He was right! Not your typical complimentary hotel breakfast. Jose was preparing omelets, pancakes, whatever you wanted, and lots of it!
We had made arrangements for the hotel van to take us to the airport. In the morning, the driver was not there, yet, so, the woman at the desk, so sorry, I am not sure of her name, offered to take us herself, her shift was almost over! That was not necessary, but, WOW, what service!
The room was clean and fresh-smelling, very comfy bed and a nicely appointed bathroom.
This is definitely where we will stay whenever in Montrose.

Thank you for such a kind review. This really means a lot to us as the entire staff works hard to ensure that every guest has an amazing experience. We do have many amenities that we hope reflect our choice to go above the average in our hotel class. This is from the Seattle's Best Coffee we provide to the farm fresh eggs we serve at breakfast, not to mention our beautiful rose gardens and grounds. But it is our staff and the way they engage with our guests that we believe truly sets us apart. I am happy to hear that you noticed the difference.

Jose and Brandy are very special members of our team. I am happy that they were able to leave a positive impression on you during your stay. Arrived at this property after a long days drive from Cody, WY.

The reception staff was great. VERY friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Provided a great recommendation for cocktails and also recommended, what turned out to be, a stellar recommendation for dinner (see my review of Colorado Boys Pizzeria). Staff, at check-out, was equally as friendly and helpful. Alas, the positive aspects of my stay were about to come to an end.

This is rather large property, in a U shape, with a vacant former pancake house in the middle of the U. The room was on the ground floor. The entrance area to the room was worn out outdoor carpet. The room itself was adequate. One can see the beginnings of remodeling: new mirrors and very bright lighting in the bathrooom areas. The new lamps were nice and electric outlets were well positioned throughout the room. I hope the remodeling continues to fluff up this otherwise tired property. The bed and pillows were fine. The bath amenities were spartan as was the length of the bath towels. The WiFI was spotty and frustrating.

The property is well situated to reach the outdoor recreation areas that are in this part of Colorado.

A stay at the Red Arrow will serve the basic purpose of rest but not much more than that.

Green Features: I am always happy to see a property, any kind of property, to act in a way which is environmentally responsible. That said, I don't recall any time a hotel's environmental practices has been a factor in determing if I stay at a property.

As soon as my quiet husband entered our hotel room he remarked about the pleasant and thorough greeting we received from Nikki the desk clerk. When we had trouble getting our television to respond to the remote, Nikki came to the room personally. This particular room had a wall switch connected to the television; quick fix. When I went to use their free internet service later, Nikki got a guest a glass of milk (it wasn't during their free breakfast). A few minutes later a guest having trouble with the car they had rented asked Nikki for a flashlight. The hotel had none, so she went to her car and returned with her own. This young lady never said no to any guest. So went above and beyond his job responsibilities. I can only hope the hotel realizes what an asset she is.

The first thing we noticed about the room was that it was spacious,but I was delighted when I saw the setup outside the bathroom. Multiple globe lights around the mirror and a wall-mounted make-up mirror were a pleasant surprise. The "window-seat" across from the mirror gave the area flexibility. And to ice the cake--they had a dish for the soap. The large table in the room made doing paperwork convenient. The bags of green tea were a first for me.

Best Western is definitely going to be considered by our family for future trips.

The service was very good at this hotel. The room was very large and very clean. It was quiet as well. A nice free breakfast of two kinds of scrambled eggs, waffles, cereals, juices, muffins and sweet rolls and other items as well. I was not that hungry that morning so only had cereal and English muffins, so I didn't pay attention to everything that was there. The had a coupon in one of the travel coupon magazines you can find along the way. I think we only paid $49 plus tax for our nights stay. A super good bargain. Would definitely stay there again.

Montrose was a very nice town we thought and we enjoyed our stay there.

Stayed in this medium size motel for 1 night. Friendly check in personnel with great cookies and coffee. On to my fist floor room with a view of a big willow tree and large grassy area. we used A nice jacuzzi and exercise room. We then went to the pool area for a glass of wine our own of course and listened to Jose sing a few songs. The room was large and clean with micro and frig. The morning breakfast with Jose cooking eggs was great a hot breakfast that was very good even very good coffee. WE ENJOYED our stay and would stay again in the future
