“Home sweet home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2014

Our room was quiet, large with sleeping area separate from living room area. The indoor pool was nice or would have been if a woman had not allowed her child to scream in the pool room. My ear drums are still ringing. The hotel is fairly small but very nice and clean and well managed. Parking was easy to find near the door and access from the highway was close without the noise of traffic.

This hotel is everything a hotel in this class and price range should be. Our king room was simply appointed but plenty spacious-- we had plenty of room to assemble our 2-year-old's Pack and Play. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and even the pillows were supportive. The shower had adequate pressure, plenty of towels.

The free breakfast offered excellent variety, including basic hot items like breakfast burritos, sausage and eggs. There was fresh fruit, cereal, a variety of breads/muffins etc. They even opened the breakfast early for Pikes Peak runners staying at the hotel who wanted something before 6 am.

The indoor pool and hot tub were warm and welcoming, and well-stocked with towels.

Finally, every staff person I encountered was friendly, accommodating and personable. The owners seem to have a clear sense of pride in this property.

The only criticisms I could make of the hotel are minor- wifi wasn't particuarly fast, there was shampoo but no hair conditioner provided and it's located a little outside of downtown Manitou Springs proper, but the shopping area is only a 2-minute drive down the road. I enthusiastically recommend this property.

This was a good choice for us and Zuzanna, the owner is a delight. Everything was clean and nice. This was a good location for us, near many attractions in the area and easy to get anywhere from here. There were big events in town while we were here and traffic and parking was congested nearby, but not right where we were.

Room Tip: There is no exercise room or equipment, which would have been nice.

We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to the Garden of the Gods. We arrived very late (1:30am!) and yet the guy behind the desk was very friendly and welcoming. Check in was quick and we were in our room within minutes. The room was nice and big with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa which we quickly made for our children with the bedding available in the closet. There was a small balcony, which sadly we didn't have a chance to use. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast area was a little small and considering the hotel was full meant we had to wait for somewhere to sit. The breakfast itself was a selection of hot food with cereals and pastries, waffles and fruit. This is a great example of Choice hotels and would definitely recommend it to others travelling this way.

We stayed one night here in July 2014. Easy check-in and front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was typical Comfort Inn room except it also had a outside deck. It's close to all the attractions in Manitou. The only downside I found was that you can't get cell phone service inside the rooms so you have to go to the parking lot to make a phone call on your cell phone.

Booked the room based on previous comments on TripAdvisor.

Room was spacious, and QUIET! Couldn't hear the neighbors at all

Towels were a bit thin, but that should be expected these days.

The front desk was very efficient at checkin and checkout. Note, that the front desk is unstaffed after 11:00pm.

Breakfast was standard fare. Plenty of room to eat breakfast, even when busy.
