“Awesome vacation spot!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

I found this wonderful bed and breakfast online by accident...and am I glad I did!! Words can not describe the beautiful accomodations and views from this lodge. Each of the 4 bedrooms were cozy, and each had a private bath. The two king rooms have picture windows that look out over the lake. The wooded setting on the lake couldn't be more perfect - it is very secluded, quiet, and felt like home. The owners, Tom and Sally, were wonderful and made us feel like we have known them forever. Tom has a wealth of knowledge about the area and was able to give us many ideas for sightseeing, besides going to Mesa Verde, which is a must see in the area. And Sally's breakfasts were delicious! Thank you, Tom and Sally, for being so accomodating and making us feel so welcome! You helped make my vacation with my cousins and friends one which I will never forget!

This lodge is beyond beautiful, the views and property are breathtaking, very secluded. Owners Tom and Sally couldn't have been more accommodating, breakfast was great and every restaurant Tom recommended for dinner was outstanding. We stayed for two nights and I truly wish we could have extended our trip to stay longer, thank you Tom and Sally for making us feel so at home.

This is a great place for couples and families since the entire downstairs is a large common area with games, pool table, TV, books, full kitchen and a beautiful deck with hot tub and hammock.

Room Tip: We traveled with 2 other couples, one had a King Room which had a beautiful lake view, the other had...

We found this B&B on Tripadvisor, as a base for touring Mesa Verde National Park. We were extremely happy we did!!
The Lost Canyon Lake Lodge is located on County Road 35.3 (!!), which is off Rt. 184, somewhere between Dolores and Mancos.
While driving there we weren't sure what we were in for, but as soon as we drove up the short private driveway we fell in love with the place. Lost Canyon Lake Lodge is completely secluded, in the woods, atop a little lake. Gorgeous.
Our room, the Fall King, had a huge window overlooking the woods and the lake, and immediately became our favourite sitting/reading spot.
Tom and Sally, who live in the house next door (Connected by a deck) were very friendly and helpful.
Be sure to ask Tom about their cat and the bats living in the roof, both interesting stories.
Breakfasts were excellent, prepared in the kitchen adjoining the common room and dining room in our house.
There are four rooms in the main house and a separate log cabin that sleeps four.
Whether as a base for Mesa Verde, or just as a great place to relax, be sure to stay here!! You'll love it!!
We stayed for two nights and loved every moment here.
Certainly one of the nicest B&Bs we have ever stayed at.
Good job Tom and sally!!! Thanks!!!

Room Tip: We took the Fall King which has a huge scenic window. The same applies to the Winter King next door...

We stayed at Lost Canyon Lake Lodge in June, 2013. The accomodations were lovely and the hospitality was great. Lodge is a separate building from the owners home (joined by deck area). Large livingroom, game area, kitchen & dining on main level and separate bathrooms for ea of the four upstairs bedrooms. There are a couple restaurants - about 7 or 8 miles away - in Delores or Mancos.

We loved staying at Lost Canyon Lake Lodge - we were in the Fall King room. It was great to come from Mesa Verde, a short drive, and be met by Sally who welcomed us and gave us tips for dinner. There was home made cake and fruit to munch on. The outdoor hot tub was fantastic with a beautiful view of the lake. There were lots of things to do from board games to TV to pool - of which we played many rounds. Our room was beautiful and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and the conversation with Tom was great! We really enjoyed this B&B, would recommend it to anyone and would stay again if we're back in the Mesa Verde area.

Room Tip: Go for the King rooms!

We found this B&B very dusty and in great need of an upgrade. That said it was in a beautiful location and the food served at breakfast time was lovely. We had a complaint during our stay that was very fairly responded to and dealt with. Excellent location for access to Mesa Verde National Park.

The setting is perfect for a relaxing visit. There is a ready-made library for your reading entertainment...lots of regional information and fun coffee table books too.The road to the lodge-Colorado Rt. 184-has gorgeous views of the distant snow-capped peaks. The hosts are delightful, the welcome cookies were melt in your mouth delicious and breakfast was first-rate. We chose one of the smaller rooms and next time would probably up-grade to one of the larger ones due to the expansive views from those two.

Room Tip: The smaller room, with a loft bedroom area, would be super fun for older children-steep ladder leads...
