“Best Vacation Ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

This was our second time at Majestic. First time was a dream come true. All the activities, the cabins, the 4**** meals--better than we have had on cruises, the wranglers, the owner, Robert. Everything was wonderful. I am writing this review in spite of the fact that for the first two days, WE HAD NO WATER!! You read it right, no water!! We were there the last week of May, 2012. Many guests. I never heard a person complain about the situation. Robert and his crew worked extra hard to see that fresh water was available for us to drink and for the greatest menus in the world to be prepared. There was nothing Majestic could do about the situation--seems there was a water line broken. The staff treated us like royalty, appreciating the fact that we were all taking this in stride. We learned to cope. Being there was so relaxing, so much fun: We fished, went whitewater rafting, rode horses, western line dancing, cowboy poetry around campfire under the stars, canoeing, bow and arrow, played baseball on a regulation size baseball field (batting cage also available) and more!! Everything great.

Back again this year--ditto above-EXCEPT we did not have water problem. Swimming pool and hot tub also available. Hope to go again next year. Please note, my husband and I are 71 and 70. We were the oldest there and we had a ball. This was on our bucket list, we did it, did it again, and plan to go back!! Majestic, you Rock!

Room Tip: Stayed in two different cabins. This years cabin was completely renovated. Very nice. Next year p...

Our family of 5 had an amazing time at the Majestic Dude Ranch! Robert, the owner, goes above and beyond... I don't think 'no' is in his vocabulary. We went mountain biking, shot skeet, went white water rafting, hiking, horse back riding, archery etc... It was non-stop fun and then to have fabulous food to top it off. It was not a run of the mill trip. It was great not having a tv and the kids not texting... There wasn't time for that:) Thank you to everyone that worked at MDR, you are somethin' special.

Our family of 5 (mom, dad, and teens=19, 19, 17) had a great time. Adventures each day for our 3 day stay. You pick your favorites and they cater it to your ability level. Horse back rides, mt. bikes (easier rides and challenging courses), mt. climbing (12,800 ft), skeet shooting, kayaking, ww rafting (class 2-3), and more. With variety of guests (lots of families, singles, couples, multi-generational families), Excellent food, and helpful/fun staff, it was like a cruise-type of vacation in the mountains, with activities and meeting others from around the country. Loved it!

My 68 yr old mom and I came here for a mother/daughter get away at the end of May and we had a FABULOUS time! This place is perfect for anyone! Couples, families, business trips...etc. The food is great and the service is top notch. Of course there are horses to ride, but if you want, you can also Mtn. bike ride, fly fish, pool, skeet shoot, etc... so much to do, so little time. I highly recommend this ranch.

Our family just returned from a three day stay at Majestic Dude Ranch. I have never stayed anywhere like it! From the time we arrived, Robert (the owner) and his friendly staff treated us like family and went out of their way to ensure we could participate in all activities we wanted to enjoy. The staff was extremely accommodating to our schedule as we could only stay three days. We did nearly everything available in their activities and really enjoyed the other guests as well. We needed to leave early in the morning and Robert himself made us a delicious special order breakfast. The food was plentiful and high quality at every meal with snacks included, and their kitchen chefs are willing and able to accommodate any kind of diet restriction. We all had fun, and would definitely recommend the all inclusive Majestic Dude Ranch to anyone wanting to get away to a gorgeous location with great weather, and amazing adventures for all ages.

Room Tip: You can pick out your own cabin. We stayed in Two Pines and it was great for our family with two bed...

I don't know where to start. We had the most fabulous week at the Majestic Dude Ranch. My husband and I stayed during one of the "adults only" weeks and really enjoyed the other guests, the amazing adventures, and the wonderful staff. We were treated to ridiculously good food: from bbq ribs to homemade chicken caesar salad to delicious hot veggies and made-to-order breakfasts every morning to the out-of-this-world desserts each night! Whew! We enjoyed beautiful bike rides, an amazing "extreme" hike, our first outing fly-fishing, and last, but not least, several scenic horseback rides. The staff was great. Our cabin's bathroom was remodeled and sleeping on the king-size Tempurpedic bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Can't say enough great things about this place. Simply amazing!

Room Tip: The lodge is completely remodeled and gorgeous. We enjoyed our 2-bedroom cabin that had remodeled...

If you like to ride and you like friendly people who treat you like valued guests, then this is your destination. My wife grew up with horses and was able to ride more in one week than we had been able to do in the last ten years. They have horses for all ability levels and additional activities for those who aren't sure they want to ride all of the time. During our week we were able to mountain bike, learn how to fly fish and then try our luck. Hiking in the Colorado mountains was also on our list. We missed whitewater rafting due to low water and took an extreme hummer 4 X 4 ride instead. Food? Great food all of the time and a swimming pool and trap shooting and baseball and a cowboy singer around the campfire. One of our very best vacations at a reasonable price.

Room Tip: The individual cabins were a little rustic but had more room. Try to get one of the cabins closer t...
