“Generous Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

My stay started with being greeted with smiles. I am a diamond member and requested a complimentary upgrade to a suite. They did not hesitate. I was placed in the Kennedy Suite. Of all the Best Westerns I have stayed, the Kennedy Suite was the best. Thank you.

“Pretty good, but....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

This hotel has been renovated, but still looks a little shabby from the highway. I booked this reservation through hotwire.com and was a little disappointed to see what hotel the website booked for me. It was a great price however, and overall the hotel was a surprise. Very nice lobby and breakfast area. Check-in was efficient, however, the two young people working were much more interested in giggling at their own jokes than helping me. I was given very sparse directions to my room, breakfast was not mentioned and I was put in a room next to a very loud ice machine. (Do not accept room 234 or 236 unless it is a blinding snowstorm and no other rooms are avaialbe in the northern half of the state). The room was very nice but only marginally clean. There were Cheerios on the floor next to the entertainment center. How do you miss that many pieces of piece of food that large when you are vaccuming or checking the room? The channel selection was very limited. Skip the grilled cheese and tomato soup from the lounge. I am fairly certain it was made from Veleeta or a similar cheese product. The beds don't look at all like the pictures. There was a very thin, white, shiny cover on the bed with a red throw. I was excited thinking they were triple sheeting after I saw this, but no such luck. The blanket has obviously been around for many years and had bleach stains on it. The white cover was also stained. Overall, not bad, but there needs to be some attention spent on the details here to make this hotel worth the money that was obviously spent on renovating it.

“Decent but old”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

The stay here was ok. Was quiet enough. The room wasnt vaccumed properly as there were pistachio shells and what looked like dog crap under and behind the recliner. Getting food was quite challenging as the hotels' resturant wasnt open. There are several resturants across the hwy but finding your way through the maze in the shopping center is insane to navigate at night. The IHOP that you see from the hotel parking lot isnt open 24hrs for the record. closes at 10p

Room Tip: breakfast was decent

“Bring your own Blanket!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

We have been Best Western customers for many years but BW motels in the USA seem to have lower standards than in Europe, in particular the provision of adequate bedding. After chilly Best Western USA experiences of a thin sheet and a single thin blanket we began to request additional bedding prior to our arrival but our requests are repeatedly ignored. Come on Best Western, you must raise your game - do you expect your guests to sleep in their clothes, as we did? And no, driving back to reception after a 10 hour transatlantic flight to discuss customer requests that have been ignored is not an option. BW have lost our US business and we have moved to another franchise with more comfortable beds and rooms and better responsiveness to guests' requests.

“Excellent Rooms, Top Notch Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Living in the next town, it's not often I need a hotel room in Loveland, but this past September I did. The late night staff assisted me in booking a room using Gold Crown points, very helpful considering I did not have my GC credentials and it was a late night weekend (thanks again). I had an excellent night's sleep on the new and very comfortable bed. Bathroom fixtures were clean, new, brightly lit. Furniture and decor were colorful and modern. This was a tastefully appointed room, very comfortable, and I really enjoyed the surprise stay. The cleanliness level was above average compared to my average hotel experience, very important to me. I enjoyed dinner and drinks at Monroe's Lounge, which matched the newly remodeled room for sharpness and modernity. Menu is many steps above typical barfood-it's evolved into more of a bistro menu, including steaks and pastas, very presentable. I've been to Monroe's for Christmas parties, wedding receptions and business functions in years past, and it's always offered above average atmosphere and service. Very pleased, as usual. I will continue to recommend this hotel to visiting friends and relatives, having now enjoyed one of their new rooms for myself.
