“Phenomenal Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2012

A few years back, I happened across Wild Lane's website when looking for local B&Bs. I loved all that I found about it and am so glad we chose it. There doesn't seem to be any negatives about the place! Even though there is a resident cat, my husband (who's allergic) wasn't bothered by its presence, which gave me comfort of its cleanliness.
The location is perfect. It's close enough to I-25 to make traveling to it a breeze, and it's close enough to the mountains to have instant access. But the way it's tucked up onto the hill beside Devil's Backbone makes it feel amazingly remote.
They keep the grounds beautifully. They have struck the perfect balance between wild and manicured. It feels so comfortable outside, like you could sit in the garden for days and not once notice the time. We first visited in March, when most of the vegetation was dormant and it was STILL bountiful and beautiful.
I love the Victorian (?) feel of the place, like you've stepped back in time and are enjoying the luxuries of the day: Two sitting rooms, a library and a sunroom- and each with its own lovely fireplace! Wonderful!!
We first stayed in the Pink Rose Room and loved it. It does have the smallest bathroom of all the rooms, though. But it's a private bathroom, which is all that mattered to us! Then we stayed in the Wild Rose Room. For the least expensive room, it was a steal!
Then there's the breakfast...! There aren't enough words to express how delicious it was. This alone was enough to visit!
In fact, any one of the items listed above is a reason worth staying here, and to find them all in one place...for a reasonable price? Phenomenal!

Room Tip: Like I mentioned above, the Pink Rose Room has the smallest bathroom. Surprisingly, the cheapest roo...

“Great value for a fantastic price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2011

My fiancé and I stayed here for a few nights this summer on our trip exploring Colorado. Our plan was to stay two nights and then head on to our next location, but it was so lovely at Wild Lane B&B Inn that we decided to stay a few nights longer. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and Steven was very accommodating for vegetarians. Our room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, absolutely no complaints in that department, and we were glad to have a private bathroom. We very much enjoyed discussing the history of the house and its contents with Steven and Lanette. We drove to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park most days and it was an easy drive. Based on our experiences here, we would highly recommend this B&B. Great value at a fantastic price. You'll know you've arrived at a very unique and special place the minute you drive onto the property.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Wild Rose Room. I believe it's the smallest (and cheapest) room , but we were q...

“Great Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2011

We only were able to stay a night....but what a bargain and what a great place to stay!! Great host, clean place, and great breakfast. The bed was SO comfortable. Really nice to have a private bathroom in your room. It is off by itself down a 'wild' lane so it is very quiet. The grounds are very nice and Devil's Backbone is out your window. You won't go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: I don't think you could go wrong with any of the rooms.

“beautiful home and gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2011

Loved this beautiful home with its lovely antique furniture and amazing gardens in a quiet little lane-no traffic noise here. The breakfast was amazing and sitting down to eat in that beautiful dining room is an experience-we had the choice of eating here or on the delightful veranda. The rooms are a delight and it felt like we were in another century but with modern extras like the jacuzzi bath to relax in.I would definitely come back here but alas its a long way from home-Sydney.It was a highlight on our wonderful road trip of the USA and Canada and very reasonably priced!

“Unequaled breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2011

We have been content in the past to have breakfasts which were essentially continental at best and have been delighted to have a wide selection on the menu to choose from but this was a breakfast we will remember. It can be described as a full, gourmet breakfast that was served to us by the chef himself. But breakfast wasn't all the amenities to be had here. This place is roomy, quiet, serene, handsome and intriguing. Sure, it isn't for everyone, especially if you are looking for excitement and entertainment but if you want to relax and get away from the everyday hassles and feel like you are in a distant place in a remote rural setting, even when you live down the road, this is the place to stay. I just wish we could have stayed longer. Oh, well, next time.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Red Rose Room. Jaccuzzi plus nice view of mountains and plenty of places to sit.
