So much to see & so many beautiful & interesting sculptures! Love this park. We try to take all our out of town/state guests there.
Fun, short jaunt full of numerous and varied sculptures. Great place to take folks visiting Loveland.
For just a leisurely stroll or a fun time with family & kids - the Benson Park Sculpture Garden is an excellent place to visit!! The sculptures are amazing and the kids love the open areas!! It's REALLY a "Loveland experience".
Nestled in a neighborhood in Loveland, north of the lake and across the street from a high school, you will find a delightful surprise. A city park full of sculptures! Over 130 of them, dotted throughout this well cared for and manicured park. There is great access to almost all the pieces from every angle and nice wide sidewalks to easily get around. Every August a huge sculpture show, call Sculpture in the Park is held there for one weekend, bringing in hundreds of artists and thousands of visitors and buyers, definitely a MUST see! The park is free and there is a small fee to see the show but worth every penny.
This art work is a bit kitschey and random, but it is a nice setting a great place for a walk with views of the mountains to the west and Lake Loveland to the south. There are some interesting pieces. Don't miss the Glenna Goodacre sculpture of a dancer. Goodacre is the one who did the Women's Vietnam Memorial Sculpture, and her figure in the park is lyrical.
