“Wow - What a Breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

Saw this diner on Tripadvisor and when we found out that we could have a late breakfast at noon, we were sold! It is a very clean diner that appeared to be fairly new. Several staff members greeted us with smiles and we were quickly seated. I knew I wanted an omelette but couldn't decide between 3 of them - so I asked the waitress and she quickly told me "The Big Pig" which came filled with pieces of thick slab bacon, ham, chorizo, tortilla strips, sour cream, fresh onions & topped with a green chile sauce! I got the small (made with 2 eggs instead of 3) and I still couldn't finish my whole meal. It also came with a griddle biscuit (probably the biggest and thickest biscuit I have ever seen) with a side of their homemade strawberry jam and fresh hash browns! My husband ordered the "Sweet Combo" which came with 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon (that were very thick & tasty) and 2 HUGE pancakes that were definitely made with sweet cream. Everything was excellent! He couldn't finish his meal either. The portions are huge. All of that food plus coffee and an extra side of toast and our bill was only $19. The menu advertises that "darn near everything we create is homemade & scratch-made" and I would believe it! Everything was fresh and wonderful! If I lived anywhere near Loveland, we would frequent this diner!

“Can't wait to return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

Very generous portions for great prices. Service is very at tentative and very fast. I've had many things on the menu and all of them are amazing. I truly love the hamburgers with green chili. Try everything, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!!!

“Fine food & service!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We recently had lunch here after being told about it by another family member.

The hamburgers are superb.... buns and french fries are made in their restaurant so they are fresh and delicious!

Prices are competitive for a quality place!

We'll be back.

“So good we went back again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

On a trip out West we stayed in Loveland and were told by a friend to try this place. We were very glad we did.
It is not a huge place and they only serve breakfast and lunch, we only had breakfast each time, but wow what breakfasts! Great food, plenty of it. Our first visit we sat at the counter and had the great fortune of having Ali as our server who we later learned was the manager. She was fantastic!
All the staff seemed very friendly and worked well together.
Try it, get the biscuits, and don't miss trying an omelet.

“Great except for one small thing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2014

One always looks for a 'local' place to eat instead of the chains. Doug's was recommended to us as being such a place and, as far as the menu goes, it did not disappoint. Not your usual fair with a heavy South of the Border influence. A varied menu with the usual favorites scattered amongst unique creations using such items as chilies, chorizo and the like. Fresh produce and jams to boot. And, yeah, those grilled biscuits were pretty danged good.

The only issue we (and other diners there at the time) had was the temperature of the food. Either they need to do a better job getting all the food prepped at the same time or invest in a heat lamp to keep things warm. Some of our food was luke warm while another diner sent their breakfast back to be reheated. They weren't terribly busy, so volume was not the issue.

That's not enough to keep us from going back though!
