“Historic Charm, great food served with a bargain…”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2011

Wine night at the 4th Street Chop House is every Sunday night. They will comp you a preselected bottle of wine of your choosing with every 2 entrees you order (4 entrees is 2 bottles of wine). The menu has something to please everyone. The fresh baked bread will put you in danger of taking your entrée home in a box. The portion sizes will definitely leave you satisfied. The service is wonderful, professional and with a smile.

The ambiance is that of an old dimly lit dinner club. Large, high backed, real wood booths. A hammered tin ceiling, white butcher paper over the white linen table cloth and exposed brick walls make for a place to have a romantic special occasion. It has that old world feel with the modern touches you need for a quality restaurant. With them footing the bill for the wine you can splurge on dinner and desert and still walk out of there with your wallet in tact.

If you haven’t experienced the 4th Street Chop House, especially on a Sunday night you have definitely missed out. I would highly recommend you make a reservation which they gladly accept even for 2 people. This quite little gem is in the heart of old historic Loveland and even has a little night life in the area to enjoy after you partake in this fine dinning experience.

“A fine dining experience in Loveland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2011

If you've been to Loveland then you know it's not easy to find a nice spot to dine. I was pleasantly surprised by the 4th Street Chop House. The ambiance was very romantic, and would certainly make for a great date night restaurant. I was there with my husband and my parents. We ordered some Martini's and cocktails to start, which were all good. Followed by the lump crab cakes, which we finished in less than 2 minutes. Also very good. I ordered the blue cheese crusted filet, which I enjoyed enough to finish the entire plate. My husband ordered the steak au poivre, which was also very tasty. The service was just as good. All in all, a dining success!

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2011

We had a very disappointing evening out to one of our favorite local restaurants. We have been there many times and this could be an anomaly but it was our worst experience there. Drink orders wrong, food orders wrong, food sub par from all our past experiences at this establishment. Seemed like a whole new staff was on hand and although it was a Friday night it was not overly busy, I hope this was a one time thing but we will only give this place 1 more chance.

“Profoundly too noisy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2010

My wife and I ate here on 11 June 2010. The restaurant was full. Our food and service was good as usual. Unfortunately the restaurant was abnormally loud. Customers were literally yelling at each other to be heard. Our wait staff person misunderstood our order because it was too loud to hear. We left the restaurant prior to dessert due to the noise. Although we frequently go to the Chop House, we will not be regulars anymore if this high level of noise does not abate.
