We stayed here onr night while visiting Boulder. The exterior of the hotel looks nice and new, the room was quite large as well as the bathroom. Unfortunately, the large metal doors on the rooms are very loud and slam every time someone enters or exits. Secret service was staying here during the Democratic National Convention in Denver and left the hotel at 4:30 a.m. We heard every word they said outside in the hallway as well as all of their doors slamming.
The bathroom wasn't the cleanest and there were cobwebs on the acoustic ceiling. The blanket or mattress cover under the fitted sheet had a roughness to it that could be felt through the fitted sheet - very uncomfortable. The towels were thin and rough as well.
The continental breakfast was a joke. They would have been better off to not have anything than to try to get by serving this. The orange juice tasted like powder and there wasn't even water available to drink. There was white bread toast, but no butter or margarine - just an artificial vegetable spread. Of the 3 cereal containers put out, two were raisin bran and the other bran flakes, neither of which my son would eat (how about staples like Cheerios or Rice Krispies like other hotels offer?). No fresh fruit either. We wound up buying breakfast outside the hotel.
This was the most disappointing hotel stay of our 8-night vacation in Colorado. In fact, this was the only disappointing stay. It also was the most expensive. We cannot recommend this hotel and will not be returning in the future.
