“Excellent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here on our last night of our trip. We chose this location due to the proximity to RMN and Estes Park. Everything near RMNP was booked or a motel but we wanted something we knew. I'm a Hilton member so we chose here.

The rooms were big and spacious. We asked for a fridge but our room didn't have one. The friendly young lady at reception got us one with no problem. we were able to keep our kids mill in there.

Breakfast was good and filling. The one thing I didn't see we're the bags with goodies that are usually put out. Maybe it was the weekend.

If I'm in the area again I will stay here

Clean new hotel. Very nice staff. Food is not a reason to stay here. If you're just cheap and will eat baked, reconstituted eggs, this is the place for you. Aside from pizza night (Papa Johns) the dinner is no thrill, either. Free beer and wine is nice during managers hosted dinner. I was there for two weeks and jacuzzi was out entire time. No outdoor area that has sun to be able to sit out and read unless you get a folding chair and sit in the parking lot.

The staff was all very pleasant, from the desk clerk to the breakfast host (huge kudos for the fresh grapefruit at breakfast). The rooms were quiet and comfortable. I only wsh the location were within walking distance to full service dining options.

Stayed here a couple times at the end of May. Excellent room, great customer service, tasty breakfast.
Typical Hampton far above any competing hotels. Good location for trips into surrounding tourist areas.
Easy in and out, near I25. Would highly recommend.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2012

Researching a spot that we could rest our heads between Denver Intl Airport and Rocky Mountain National Park we decided to try the Hampton Inn Longmont. The hotel is an easy drive between both locations and offers easy access to both.

Although located on busy US 287 the hotel itself offers a tranquil environment in a pleasant atmosphere.

Our front desk agent was extremely friendly and professional and alluded the charm of a small town atmosphere. She was extremely helpful in offering us assistance in whatever our needs and went above and beyond the services of an “average” front desk associate.

Our room was a comfortable Hampton Inn style room which we were a bit concerned about due to its view of US 287. Happily we discovered the window had double glass which made any roadside noise completely nonexistent.

We also were a bit concerned to walk into a room where the Air/Heat unit had been set to “heat” (on a day where outside temps had been in the upper 80’s). Certainly this was not any fault of the hotels but we had wished that the window fan unit (which the hotel uses) had been able to cool the room much faster. As it was it took several hours, with the fan set to 60 (its lowest level) to reach a comfortable temperature level.

The other oddity to this hotel is that there is no backup generator in place – which we discovered when the power went out for about an hour on the morning of our departure. As such we found ourselves in a hotel with no electricity (a first in my 50+ years of travel) during this outage. This led one to ponder what might happen if one had quite a bit of luggage to get down the staircase in such a situation. It should be noted that the hotel only has three levels so this may not be an issue. Again we do not fault the hotel for the power issue – but we did find it odd that there was no backup generator in place to keep the facility running.

The breakfast room was spacious for Hampton Inn standards and offered a good selection of hot and cold items – including a waffle maker for those who may wish to be indulgent.

There is a small exercise room with cardio equipment and exercise balls and a nice sized indoor pool with hot tub.

Overall this was a comfortable stay, with very friendly staff and is a property we would return to.

Room Tip: Rooms facing US 287 have double glass that prevent road noise

Hampton Inn's offer a very consistent service and value. This one fully met my expectations. Clean room, clean bathroom, quiet location, friendly staff and great warm cookies!
Only con I have is the TV. When you power it on it takes too long to boot up and then you have to press buttons to get to good old fashion TV channels and away from all the "pay for" stuff...

very good experience overall. the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The only ding would be to increase the alcohol choices at the manager's reception like the other hilton properties such as the embassy suites :). I will come back again next time I am in the area
