“Casual B&B at over 10,000 feet”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

This laid-back place wouldn't be for everyone. The rooms vary greatly in price and size. Many are oddly shaped and have multiple beds, the result of Ed and Peri's renovation of it from run-down, crowded family apartments into a B&B, which they've run over the past 22 years. We had the Twin Peaks room, which was very nicely decorated and uncrowded. The web site has floor plans for all the rooms. Peri and Ed are genuine people and we enjoyed meeting them. They joined us and the other guests for breakfast -- French toast with fruit.

Room Tip: The Twin Peaks room was very nice.

Our 2 day stay at the B&B was comfortable and relaxing. The relaxed atmosphere of the town carried over to the B&B. There are no locks anywhere to be found but you will learn that the majority of the town doesn't lock their doors either. I noticed several people even left their cars running!
The price was reasonable and the hosts were gracious and welcoming.

Room Tip: there are several rooms to choose from--some have their own bathroom and some have a hall bathroom d...

spent 2 nights in this rustic B&B, housed in what would have been a wonderful Victorian woodclad property in the hay days of mining at the end of the XIXth century. a non-nonsense, warm welcome from trusting, excentric and colourful owners who cooked some sensational breakfast: spiced sausages with pancakes and syrup one day, fritatas and fresh peaches salad the next. the price was very reasonable. It really had a homely feel.

A nice, reasonably priced place to stay in Leadville. It's rustic in the same way Leadville is; rough on the edges, yet comfortable. The decor is an eclectic mix of antiques, wallpaper and carpet. The breakfast was good, the owners were nice.

This was the worst B&B I have ever stayed at. It was absolutely filthy, it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. The closets in the rooms were stuffed full of the owners junk so we didn't even have room for our things. The kids got a rash from the dirty hot tub. There were no locks on any of the doors so we didn't feel comfortable with everyone leaving the house at the same time because there was no way to secure our property. I have also never met with such rudeness and meanness from the staff and owner. We couldn't leave this place quick enough. We would never stay here again and would encourage no one to stay here either.

This person did not stay in our B&B in 2010. We have not had a hot tub for over 5 years. We had a manger for 6 years and have taken back our B&B the last 3 years and I know for a fact that she has not stayed with us during these last three years. I believe she stayed at the B&B over 5 years ago. I think this is unfair to have an old review still on my site.
