“Not your Father's Bowling Alley-Bowling Fun Adult Style.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

Take one bowling alley, dim the lights, add some pizzazz with upgraded décor, a great bar where you can order cocktails and appetizers, comfortable seating, adults only after a certain hour and you've got---Lucky Strike Lakes in Belmar.

“Very different concept in the bowling alley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

You can bowl here if you want, and they have very nice lanes, but it is also a great sports bar with great happy hour drinks specials. There are also video games to play, as well as other games, and the place is big. It's more like an adult fun center with bowling than it is a bowling alley with other attractions. They also have pretty good food at reasonable prices.

“Fun for all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

We love heading to Lucky Strike, as the kids and adults all enjoy being there. Groupon discounts abound. Our kids, 7 and 4, are happy campers with one game on their own, and PERHAPS a second with the adults teaming up with them. Ramps are available; gulley barriers are automatically enabled for whoever wants them. Electronic scoring keeps things fair. You pay per bowler and game so don't overcommit, especially if you have young kids who you think will play 2+ games (but likely won't). There's a full bar and menu + happy hour specials. The key for us is going during cheap play (happy hour bowling serves up cheaper food and drink, plus $2.50 shoe rental and $2.50 games). When anyone isn't bowling, they can be uber comfy in the sofas and seating immediately around your private lane. We love Lucky Strike!

“Really gone downhill”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

This location used to be really good, but the menu isn't as robust and the interior is in serious need of an overhaul. The seats are all cracked and in disrepair. Service wasn't very good and the food was mediocre. I don't know if this location is associated any longer with the chain or not, but it has really gotten kind of skeavy.

“Great place for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

This place is usually easy to get in at lunch. 3 massive TV screens behind the bar are visible from anywhere in the dining area.
I really like the spicy buffalo chicken salad. The burgers are good and the personal size pizzas are good. as well.
All in all, if you're downtown and want a place that's not crazy busy, try this place.
