“Better for Families, Not Great for Couples”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

We stayed in the Plaza building on the 4th floor. This stay was during the summer. I have included the pros and cons below. The booking was last minute, so we didn't have the greatest selection of rooms. The room was fine for a one night stay. I think the place is ideal for families on an affordable ski vacation. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for on a weekend trip with my boyfriend in the summer.

Pros:
- Very large living space. Kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, bathroom (double sinks). Nice gas fireplace.
- The living room had a nice view of the snake river and mountains.
- The one bedroom suite could house a number of people. There was a murphy bed in the living room, queen size bed in the bedroom, and a large sofa in the living room. There was a lot of seating including a 6 person dining room table, a breakfast bar, a small card table, a sofa, and two wing back chairs.
- The queen bed was very comfortable.

Cons:
- We were surprised to find there was no elevator access for the plaza building. We carried our bags up 4 flights of stairs, which was a bit tiring after a full day of travel.
- The wifi for the hotel was not password protected, which concerned me.
- The kitchen could use some updating, the oven was quite old.
- There was a balcony, which if facing the snake river would have been nicer, instead it faced the swimming pool.
- The tv in the bedroom was not plugged in initially, so not sure how long it had been since someone else stayed in the room.
- The electrical outlets were a bit finicky, I would have to jostle them to get them to stay in place. Also, when I plugged something else in the second socket, the lamp in the first socket would go out.

I stayed at the Villages Lenawee while I attended a conference at Keystone. We were in a 2 bdr/loft, 3ba condo with 1 King bed, 2 Twin beds, and bunk beds. The condo was in very nice condition and the bathrooms seemed recently updated. I was very comfortable during my stay here and I would recommend the Villages Lenawee for summer/winter stays. As a note, there is no A/C but with the night temps getting low, it is not necessary.

As a side note, I enjoyed a massage at the spa. I highly recommend Ginger as a masseuse and recommend the spa for some silence and relaxation.

Stayed in a one bedroom condo. The view was excellent. The condo was clean and well cared for. Plenty of storage. Everything worked well. The bedding was comfortable and we slept well. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms that overlook the lake

Spacious 1 bedroom condo, with very comfortable bedding. Enjoyed the walkout patio and we were just a few steps from the river. Kept the windows open every night to listen to the water. Staff was very friendly from check-in, to the Adventure Center, restaurants, and housekeeping staff. The kids enjoyed many walks around the lake and river. Would definitely return because it was so quiet and not crowded even on the weekend!

Room Tip: Riverside so that you can hear the water!

We really enjoyed this wonderful condo. We had a two bed/two bath. We also reserved a balcony that overlooked the lake (definitely worth it!). Not only did we get to relax and enjoy the breath taking views, but we also enjoyed many of the amenities offered (horse back riding, paddle boats, gondola ride, etc.) They also do a wonderful firework show over the lake for the 4th of July. We got to watch it right from out balcony! The beds were comfortable, and the temperature was perfect. We will definitely be going back for another great family trip!!!

Our condo was beautiful with lots of room for the two of us. We had a wonderful lakefront view and a balcony to watch the fireworks from. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and the welcome cookies were yummy.

We attended a conference and loved having the convenience of food in our condo rather than staying in the lodge. This helped a lot with costs.

My wife and I enjoyed our 5 nights in a Lakeside Village studio during a conference. Early June is clearly shoulder season for the overall resort and area, but that just meant a welcome quiet stay for us. The condo unit and building were well used and a little worn, but everything was obviously cared for and in good working order. I don't know what the regular rates were, but the conference rate was quite fair. Nothing at all bad to report so please don't take my overall average rating as negative. I would say "good", but the rating system appears designed to knock you off the fence between "average" and "very good".
