Key points: the food was creative and delicious; the place was rustic and charming. We had the misfortune of visiting on a night when the entire dining room had been booked for a late seating banquet. We had early reservations and were rushed through a five course dinner. We were urged to leave the bar and take our seats; after ordering and the first course arrived, each successive course arrived a little too promptly. Before we had finished our main course, the dining room was being reconfigured for the banquet, with tables and chairs being moved around in a hurry. So we had five star food, but not exactly a five star dining experience. The management would have done the early diners and banquet diners both a favor by simply closing the restaurant for the private party that night. That said, we look forward to visiting again on a less hectic evening.
