“Excellent creations from the kitchen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

Key points: the food was creative and delicious; the place was rustic and charming. We had the misfortune of visiting on a night when the entire dining room had been booked for a late seating banquet. We had early reservations and were rushed through a five course dinner. We were urged to leave the bar and take our seats; after ordering and the first course arrived, each successive course arrived a little too promptly. Before we had finished our main course, the dining room was being reconfigured for the banquet, with tables and chairs being moved around in a hurry. So we had five star food, but not exactly a five star dining experience. The management would have done the early diners and banquet diners both a favor by simply closing the restaurant for the private party that night. That said, we look forward to visiting again on a less hectic evening.

“Excellent as Always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

What a perfect white Christmas eve dinner !! Great atmosphere with the warmth of the log cabin feel. Service is always perfect as well as the food presentation. Dinner at the table in the dining room is very nice but then desert in front of the fireplace in the living room finishes the night perfectly.

The Keystone Ranch is perfect for a special occasion or any dinner. One not to miss.

“Spotty Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

Wow, inconsistent and very expensive. Were there 2 chefs in the kitchen last night? One made a beautiful velvety sweet potato soup, perfectly cooked and flavored Diver scallop appetizer and a yummy Grand Marnier souffle. The other prepared a boring salad, a foie gras starter with a trace amount of foie gras in a thimble of cream cheese, and a very tough piece of lamb. If you ever have the opportunity to go here, order well and hope you get lucky. Atmosphere and service were great, kitchen needs to ramp it up.

“Spectacular location with food to match!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

Our reservations were at 7:30 and we arrived 10 minutes early. It was not a problem at all. Once seated we decided we would prefer to take advantage of the summer weather and asked to have a cocktail on the patio. They graciously accommodated us. The bartender made our drinks exactly as ordered and we sat until past our reservation time enjoying the view of the mountains, lake, and golf course. Once seated the sommelier helped us select our wine. She did not push us to the most expensive and actually warned me when the glass I chose was $19.00. The menu is a price fixe $45 for soup or salad and entree (appetizers and desserts are priced if you want to add on). $75 for appetizer, soup, salad, entree, and dessert. The menu changes seasonally so I won't go in to detail on what we ate other than to say we were pleased with every item. Our server was knowledgable and attentive without being over bearing. We enjoyed our meal at a slow pace and never felt rushed. As mentioned earlier, dessert is served in a separate comfortable room and it was a nice touch. While the portions weren't large, we had more than enough to eat working our way through the $75 meal. Jeans are completely acceptable (mountain casual). We loved out evening, the atmosphere, the service, and the food. We will definitely be back.
Our only reason for a 4 rating on value was the fact that the drinks were all quite pricey.

“Wonderful evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2012

Although the restaurant is on the expensive side, it's the perfect place for a special evening. The menu was varied and included many local meats and produce. What is also nice is that the desert is served in another room in casual atmosphere with wonderful views.
