We went to the Fondue place 3 days earlier and considered canceling since same Gondola experience. SO GLAD we didn't, totally different experience, same charming Gondola ride, and our two dining experiences on top of the North Peak are the highlight of our keystone vacation. The atmosphere is quaint, intimate and cozy. The wine and drink selection were excellent. We are not foodies, but we are not snobs either, and this meal was in our top 5 beef experiences (ok, that sounded weird but true.) We had the Venison soup and the Butternut Squash soup; the first being better as the Squash soup was closer to a side dish than a soup, though the taste was delicious. We had the rabbit appetizer (yum!) and the scallops, very nice but the rabbit was excellent. The breads were FABULOUS, don't skimp on the carbs tonight. But the beef rib and the filet entrees both, well, rendered us speechless. We had the velvet cheesecake and berry cobbler for dessert, both good but not as amazing as our entrees, so wish we had tried the chocolate dessert. One note is that we brought a 9 year old and her options were limited as well as $32 prix fixed options. She has a dish of fruit, the bread shared by the table, the pasta which was ordinary and a sundae. You decide if that is worth $32 to someone who could care less and wanted to leave early. I would recommend doing the Der Chessel Fondue and saving this for an adult only experience, though admittedly our teenagers felt the best entree they have ever eaten. Since they are teenagers, not sure they deserve this kind of meal for the price ( Seriously, the restaurant Didn't have internet to text friends back home so it was a problem? Go back to the condo! I digress.) Highly recommend this restaurant as one you will not forget for the experience and the food.
