“Was not overly impressed...would choose Breck, Beaver Creek or Vail”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

We have skied dozens of times over the last decade, mostly at Colorado resorts. I felt the terrain was limited compared to larger resorts (skied the same run over and over for 3 days), and the presence of a "lodge" was non-existent. Tubing was fun, gondola was nice. Everything was in great condition, good snow, people were very helpful and friendly, ski school was poor to say the least, restaurants in the Village were ok.

“Our favorite in summit county”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

Hardnto put my finger on it but for some reason this is our favorite resort in Denver area. We do a trip somewhere out west every year and this year we bought the vail epic and hit keystone, Breck, vail, and beaver creek. I have been to this resort a few times before in the past and have always had fun here. It is not the biggest or flashiest, not the best après ski or many fancy bowls. But it consistently has good snow. Is well patrolled for out of control speeders on green runs. You can always get a seat for lunch. There is free parking and a skier drop off near the gondola. And it is a bottom to top gondola for a nice break from the cold. There is good tree skiing on the second and third mountain. There are good cruising groomers. There are runs that are half groomed so that the wife and kids can ski corderouy and I can ski bumps on the same run. There is a nice brown bag area at the base. Enough bars where I never waited. Food prices at base were fair (food at outpost very expensive, 20$ burger and fries but it does have a great view). You just never feel ripped off here. Things aren't always cheap but you get what you pay for. And if you want to extend your lunch break you can always catch a few late afternoon evening runs becuase there is night skiing. I guess the number one reason I like keystone is because I always feel like I am skiing something I want to ski. At vail ther are some great runs especially the bowls, but I felt like I spent half my day skiing cat tracks or short runs and lift hopping just to get to where the good runs are. IMO never measured but I think keystone has the longest runs in the area. Definitely according to my ski tracks app I got in the most mileage and vertical feet here

“One of my regular destinations in Summit County”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

I usually visit Keystone several times per season, either with family or by myself. With 3 separate peaks, it doesn’t get too crowded even on busy weekends. Keystone offers runs for every ability. Of course, better your ability, better choices you have for avoiding the crowds. If you are and advanced/expert skier or rider, try the back bowls, accessible by hiking or by KAT. I wish base village had more choices for food and entertainment, but it’s still a nice place to kick back and relax. Keystone is a nice place to escape the summer heat with hiking, mountain biking, scenic gondola rides, golf and other activities.

This is possible my favorite place to ski!!! Great runs, great staff and great location. Only thing they could do is have hot water in the bathrooms to each hands other than that - awesome place

“Great ski mountain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Lots of great runs. Plenty of variety for all levels of skiers. Easy to get to and easy to park. Not a very large resort area; doesn't hold a candle to Breck in terms of size, restaurant quality and appearance but great place to ski. If I were to go back to Colorado I wouldn't need to go to Keystone if Breck is right down the street (and Vail). But, nice if you want a quiter, smaller mountain. Might be more of a local place
