I'm an intermediate-to-advanced skier and, while I agree with the review that said that A-Basin isn't for beginners, I'd like to disagree with the characterization of their customer service. I went to a ski shop in Dillon to buy discount lift tickets; I asked for two, but when I looked at them in the morning at A-Basin, it turned out the guy had only sold me one. I went into the guest services office and told my story -- not really expecting much -- and they sold me another ticket at an even better discount than the first one: $41, not bad at all for some of the best skiing in the world. (That's their normal rate for buying four or more tickets at once -- a good deal to know about.) And as for the person who wanted a refund due to weather: ski areas just don't do that, unless all the lifts are shut down, and sometimes not even then. It's just the way the industry runs -- so don't make it a personal attack on A-Basin, who really run a great operation.
As for the skiing: awesome, in the literal sense of the word. Huge,
