“Great entertainment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013 via mobile

My husband and i have been to several productions at the candlelight, including "the unsinkable molly brown" "guys and dolls" "big river" and several others. The cast is amazing with larger than life sets. The food is okay if you go for the included meals. I suggest paying a bit more for an additional entree. A little overpriced for the economy right now, but actors have to eat too. The upcoming season looks like it will be a winner! Would suggest a visit any time!!

“Exceeded Expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

Theater in small town Johnstown? Went to see Guys and Dolls and was thoroughly delighted. Everyone in the cast was superb, especially the leads. This a family theater that caters to the entire family. The cast was provides support for the dinner. We went on a Thursday night (slightly less expensive than their other performance night of Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon). All seats have a good view but mid-center is ideal. The theater doesn't look like much on the outside but is very nice inside with lots of patron space. Would definitely recommend. We'll definitely be back. Good value given the quality of performance plus a nice meal.

“Well managed theater, talented cast and good food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

It was our first visit to the Candlelight Dinner Theater and our party of four was not disappointed. The theater is well maintained, the seating comfortable, the prices reasonable and the Bloody Mary's excellent (ask for the special spicy mix). The food was good; typical dinner theater fare althought we chose not to upgrade to the premium selections. The performance of Guys and Dolls was energetic and very well cast. It is so nice to have such high calibre of live performances available in the Northern Colorado area. I look forward to my next visit.

“Guys and Dolls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

The production of Guys and Dolls at the Candlelight Dinner playhouse was excellent! I highly recommend seeing it if you can get there before the show closes on June 16,2013. The actress, Beth Beyer, who played Adalaide, was outstanding. She was equal to the originator of the role, Vivian Blaine, from the 1955 movie with Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando and Jean Simmons.
The food at the Candlelight is also quite good. Not your typical dinner theater fare. The food seems to be prepared fresh and the menu changes with each show. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious as well as the coconut creme brulee.
