The Inn itself is cozy and simple, almost quaint. The desk staff were always friendly, informative, and helpful. The cleaning staff could be a bit noisy if you wanted to sleep in past 9 am, but they were efficient and kept the rooms nice and clean and stocked with the essentials. The serious maintaince work was always looked after but minor things like sticking bathreoom doors, keys that had to be wiggled in the lock and hard to turn taps did not seem to be a priority. Now may be, the previous occupants did not report these little things or the staff might have fixed them.
We enjoyed taking the free rental bikes out for a spin on a couple of occasions. We were a little disappointed to find that the advertised paddle boats had be taken out of operation a couple of weeks early, so we did not get to try them.
Swimming in the pool was very nice, whe it wasn't too crowded. The pool is also rented to a non resident club, so it was not easy to find an empty pool.
The in house restaurant (Chef Constantine) was very well run, the food excellent (Prime Beef-yummy)and the service special.
Lagoon City made a convenient base from which to travel to Orillia, Big Chute Marine Railway, Uxbridge, Markham, etc.
Since we were there in late September we did not take advantage of the beautiful beaches and warm swimming water that pleasure people who come in the summer, but the walks among the beautiful autum colours was wonderful
