“Perfect location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We've stopped there several times during our travels and have never been disappointed. The view of the lake is terrific ... the food is good ... the staff and atmosphere are perfect. It would be a shame to NOT stop there if heading up Mt. Evans.

“Best Restaurant in 25 Miles”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

Okay, it's the ONLY restaurant in 25 miles and it's in a touristy shop on the banks of Echo Lake. But among its touristy niche, it's so stereotypical that it's original and authentic! It's also been here for eons and is one of those places that you just need to stop in and have coffee and pie, or, better yet, a green burrito and a beer. If you like to people-watch and don't mind eating at a tourist crossroads, the Lodge is an excellent stop for a quick bite.

“Great spot to take a break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

Whether you are driving or hiking the area, this spot is great for a bathroom break, snack, or a place to pick up a souvenir. An old wooden lodge that fits snugly in The rocky Mountains.

“Great place to stop before Mt Evans!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

We drive up to Mt Evans, CO several times per summer. We stop at Echo Lake Lodge often but, never eat there. This past Saturday we decided to stop for breakfast. What a wonderful, casual spot to stop for a break. The staff is SUPER friendly, the breakfast was very good. I had an omelette and it was cooked perfectly. The summer restaurant manager told us she has just baked home-made cinnamon rolls. The 4 of us shared one and it truly was a treat. We noticed that they sold slices of pie. So, on our way down from Mt Evans we stopped by to pick up 4 pieces of pie for our picnic lunch down the road by the Echo Lake. The coconut cream pie was one of the best we had ever had. YUMMMM!!!!!
