We were honored guests for being the first tourists to contact the chamber so we received t-shirts, had our picture taken, and free admission into the museum. If you like history of small town areas, this is the place to stop. Tim will be of great assistance with any questions you have. Also, if you are into railroad history, this is an excellent museum with extensive history of the local railroad. They have a large map in the entry way with buttons to push and they light up the map showing the routes of early settlers to the railroad. The best time to visit is in June when they have their celebration days (2nd weekend in June).
We enjoyed a wonderful and unique fireworks display Sat. night in the town park, where everyone was up close with each shining display above our heads. It was a great way to end our weekend trip. The perfect stop as you travel to or from Rocky Mtn National Park.
