Terrible weather but super warm, hospitable feeling in the kitchen. Stayed in main house so getting to and from breakfast was easy. Although be careful to ask for the room which is not above the kitchen. Although the noise was not extreme it was still noticeable. Someone has to be there right? Just wish it was disclosed in the room description. Love Jackie and the young man (whose name I forget) who assists her in the kitchen. She is the face of this B&B so warm and friendly. Her wonderful welcome every morning and amazing cooking always had us starting the day right. Her meals varied daily and were excellent. Just don't refer to Jackie as "a chef". She is definitely qualified but finds the title too "cold". We also loved the coffee. If you are a coffee drinker you know how important that first cup of the day is! The room itself was clean and a nice size. Even with the rainy weather we loved sitting out on our covered balcony. Had a lovely night drinking wine and watching the thunderstorm approach from one side while listening to the cows moo on the other side. Caitlin at the front desk was wonderful helping us with the safest route to Denver with the current flooding situation. We would definitely return. We would just try another room or cabin. From what the other guests were saying there are plenty of nice rooms/cabins. Our room was nice but we would try another.
