“It's Rita's place and she's the cook... great bagel sandwich”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

I heard about Rita's in Victor, CO. I was told it was worthwhile. Interesting enough, Guffey is only about 2 blocks long, but it has 3 places to eat. Victor didn't have that much of a selection! Rita's place is not on the main street. it's on the same street as the Post office (there are only two streets).

NO CELL COVERAGE in Guffey. It's in a narrow valley. But Rita's Place has wifi. I was checking my email and uploading photos to Facebook on my iphone.

It was where the locals met and hung out. Everyone knew Rita and she knew them. Second home owners were treated like regulars. There is outside seating. you'll have great views of the trees and horses tied up at the posts. folks ride their horses into town for lunch.

Attached photos are not of Rita's Place, but of main street Guffey.

“Rita's Place...is wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

We finished a tour at the nearby Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation (go visit the wolves), and the owner's there recommended this cafe for lunch before heading home. It's in a small cabin with a large gravel lot...very quaint. The inside is not only a small, cozy diner, but an art gallery and a gift shop filled with unique items. The server provided great service. We had a larger sized group and she was the only one there, but our food was fresh and arrived quickly. We all sampled bites of the each other's meals and were quite impressed with each dish. (Cusabi sauce is am-az-ing!)
We also shared desserts after our meal and they were out of this world. The restaurant was clean, quiet, with nice views of the surrounding grounds and offered a small patio for outdoor dining.

If we are ever up that way again, we will definitely be eating here.
