“Solid sushi down southeast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

Located on Arapahoe Road in Greenwood Village, Sushi Wave has been a long time standout in this commercial area. Despite the changing landscape in the strip shopping center, Sushi Wave has survived the rough economy.

The Wave, as we affectionately call it, is a quiet but friendly neighborhood sushi restaurant. The sushi bar is my favorite place to eat but there is also a good size dining area. It's not trendy or fancy but very inviting.

The fish is fresh and well prepared. Prepared menu items kie the green lip mussels are good. My favorite is the tempura fried lobster roll. It's worth the trip.

Overall a reliable place to hang your hat when you crave some raw fish and don't want the hassel of waiting an hour to eat or the hubbub of a super happening place.

“Best donburi ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012

Having lived in Japan for several years, one of my favorite dishes is a donburi, a bowl of rice upon which a variety of proteins may be ladled, with succulent juices dripping down on the rice for an abundance of flavor. It is a simple dish, but distinctly Japanese, especially the Okayudon (Parent and child) which mixes chicken, egg, and onion with a sukiyaki type broth, with just a hint of sweetness, and creates, what for me, is a real taste treat. This place had the most authentic I have had outside Japan, and I have eaten Japanese donburis and sushi all over this country. Their sushi was great as well and the owners were some of the sweetest people I have ever met. Definitely worth a try if you're visiting Denver and if you are a local, count yourself in luck.

Good sushi. Slow service. Pricey. There are much better choices but the sushi was good.

“Great little place hidden in a strip mall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2012

I found this place adjacent to my hotel. I highly suggest the "New Style Sashimi". Good service and a decent sake list for such a small place.

“Wave roll and Firecracker roll rock”

We eat here a few times a month. Consistently fresh fish and great staff when Jin and Cindy are in the house.
