“Great customer service, comfortable room.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

The customer service here was great. When I arrived at the airport and they weren't running a shuttle they paid for a taxi to come and pick me up. Then my room smelled faintly of smoke and they changed me immediately and with no problems. The room I ended up with was VERY clean and comfortable. The breakfast was better than what many similar hotels are serving these days. Obviously the coffee left a little to be desired, but I've given up on hotel coffee.

I would stay here again.

We stayed here during the week between Christmas and New Years; it was a somewhat last minute decision, since we did not want to get stuck on icy roads/traffic on I-70, so decided to stay here and wait for better weather then next day. We picked La Quinta after having a good experience at another La Quinta during this road trip. This hotel is conveniently located/easy to get to, right off of I-70. The front desk staff were very accomodating; we desperately needed a good night sleep, and he allowed us to change rooms when we saw that our initial room was by an elevator. The room we ended up staying in was on the first floor, facing north, away from the highway - the front desk person recommended it, and he was right - very quiet, and easy to take our dogs out. This hotel is very pet-friendly, and they do not charge a pet fee! Our room was very spacious, considering that it was not a suite. There is a large desk with a large rounded end that makes it easy to use as an eating table for two people. No couch, but the room is big and has a large recliner chair. The layout is cool - there is a built-in that is around the corner from the sleeping area that has a refrigerator, a microwave, and a cool little ledge to keep stuff like room keys, etc. The bathroom is a little more spacious than most, with a wrap around counter and mirror that make it easier for two people to get ready in the morning. It looks like some of the room was remodeled more recently (beds, carpet, desk nice flat screen tv), but other parts (bathroom counter and floor, cabinets) look a little more dated. The room was very quiet, although the hotel was not that full the night we were there, so it's hard to know if this is how it always is. The room was cleaned to my standards (which are pretty picky). The breakfast room and breakfast choices were good. There is a great Italian restaurant with take-out , just steps from the hotel, called Enzos. Overall, a good value for the price, and we will definitely stay here again on future road trips.

Room Tip: Rooms on the north side, away from the highway, are quiet. We liked the first floor for ease of taki...

Despite a lazy night clerk, this stay was exactly what we expected!

The price and the waffle bar for breakfast make up for thin walls and the dogs on the lawn! (Pet Friendly)

The rooms are plenty big, clean, well kept and have a large bathroom that accommodates a Kahuna-Size Family.

We stay at La Quinta a lot, it's just a nice balance between amenities and price.

Check out www. BigKahunaBrew .Com for more of my travels.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the North Side Of The Building! The highway (To the south) lets in a LOT of noise!

We stayed here to attend the Grand Junction Air Show, after my last experience at LQ, I was hesitant. This hotel hit the mark though. Check in was easy and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and spacious. There was free wi fi and internet at the front lobby. Very convenient to the airport and I-70
