“A Travesty to the Name "Pantuso's"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Mr. Blackburn, if you are truly behind this you should be ashamed. I've eaten at your other places in the past and you know better.

We had a party of 9, we did not call ahead or have reservations so we understand the wait for the table to be made up. If your would like us to, please state that in your ads in the paper each week, don't blame us for showing up with a large party.

Inept service, inept, cold, poorly prepared food the entire time we were there.

The kicker? Our first server was "replaced" (not at our request) with who appeared to be a manager. Service was still poor. At the end this "manager" came to ask us how it went and we informed him. He then basically told us that it was our fault for having a large group, etc., etc. No offer to adjust the bill, nothing but essentially blaming us.

For those of you traveling through try Enzo's (walking distance) for Italian. Heck, Village Inn on a BAD day would be better.

If you really want more details read the rest of the 1 star reviews. I'm just sorry, because at one point here in Grand Junction this was a great place. Not this time around.

“Great homemade Italian food.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

I like that soup and bread are served with meals. The eggplant parmesan is my favorite. Monday night features Greek food which is a nice change.

“Best part of the hotel... good comfort food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

This was a very pleasant surprise... the minestrone, and veal marsala were very very good. Mid range prices 15-20 per person and is very convenient to all Horizon Drive Hotels.

“Just not very good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Food was very basic, maybe what you might have found in the 50's. Tasted mostly like tomato sauce. Nothing special

“Average Italian eatery”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Although I thought the food was average, the service was supreme and it was attached to my hotel, the Clairon. The wait person's assistant was a shy young college student who provided great service. The waitress was excellent. The dinner salad met my needs, the glass of house wine more than met my needs in taste & relieving stress of the long day driving. I'm more fond of a specific style of Italian pasta & sauce, however the meal was enjoyed. The only disappointment was the bread. Take a clue from Macaroni Grill by serving descent bread and for heaven's sake, use a dish of olive oil with seasoning or even ground pepper.
