While driving late on our way to Moab, fatigue and I-70 traffic took their toll at Grand Junction. Not wanting to get tangled in the concentration of chain hotels at the east side of town, we continued to the 24 Rd exit and the Candlewood Suites.
Our $99 twin double suite was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and very clean. No, they don't have upscale designer decor or a free breakfast, but when you arrive at 10:30 wanting a good nights sleep, a room like this is all you can hope for.
Reviewers who value high speed Internet connections or exciting towns so much should stay home and leave the reviews to people who value a room for its intended purpose.
