“A Grand Stay in the Grand Valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2011

Judy & I don't travel often, so when we do we like to go First Class. Lee and Young Jao, owner/operators of Los Altos B&B in Grand Junction, CO made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our King Suite was spacious and beautifully appointed. The fireplace in our room was especially cozy when the outside temp dipped below 30 on our first night. We enjoyed hearty and tasty breakfasts of french toast with cream cheese and fresh strawberries and link sausage on Saturday, and a mushroom, bacon & cheese omelet on Sunday. Young Jao's apricot scones were incredible and Lee never let our coffee cups go below halfway. We didn't want to leave.

Room Tip: We asked for the best room in the house...the King Suite pictured on their web site...and were delig...

The initial approach from Grand Junction does not do this place justice. Suddenly you emerge from pleasant but very ordinary suburbs turning right up a steep drive and there is Los Altos with an incredible view.
Los Altos is immaculate and gives the impression of being run with military efficiency. The room was very comfortable with its own entrance; breakfast delicious; the owners extremely helpful but most spectacular of it all are the views - 360 degrees.

Beautiful location on a hilltop with gorgeous views. We stayed in the suite above the garage, which was huge, very clean, and very quiet. Owner is extremely knowledgeable and a great story-teller, a delight to talk with him.

My husband and I stayed here a few weekends ago. We loved it. Directions had a bit of an error (wrong street name for one street winding its way up), but the views were well worth the trip! The innkeepers were friendly without being intrusive. We would definitely stay there again. The room we originally booked had had some water damage so we got upgraded. Vey glad we did. All upstaris roms ahve lovely views and balconies. Also, only a ten minute drive to downtown GJ for restaurants and entertainment, and very close to Two Rivers Winery tasting room.

My husband and I decided to head out to Grand Junction for our wedding anniversary. When we were looking for a place to stay, we sifted through some of the more obvious choices (Hampton, Springhill Suites, Holiday Inn, etc.), but decided to try Los Altos since we'd never stayed at a B&B before. All we can say is WOW! We enjoyed every minute of it! Our room was fantastic! Super clean and comfortable. We also had our own private balcony which offered a breathtaking view of Grand Junction and the Colorado National Monument. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the breakfast was better than anything you could get at a restaurant. The owners are about the friendliest people you could ever meet, and very knowledgeable when it comes to the surrounding area attractions and restaurants. In fact, my husband and I had ridden our Harley to GJ and though we had a general idea of the places we wanted to ride to, we didn't know any of the scenic backroads. Since he is a motorcyclist himself, Lee was a wealth of information when it came to what roads to take where. Overall, this B&B was one of the best places we've ever stayed, and we will definitely be coming back! If you need a romantic getaway, or even if you're just passing through, stay at Los Altos! The service is so much more personal and the experience is unforgettable!

Room Tip: Stay in Nina's Room! It had it's own private balcony :)

My wife and I had a road trip through Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico in early June. We wanted to visit the Colorado National Monument and chose to stay at Los Altos in Grand Junction after reading the Tripadvisor reviews for accommodation in the area. We're really pleased that we did.
The B&B is in a great location on a hill slightly outside downtown Grand Junction. We were given a warm welcome and advice on how and when to visit the monument and also where to eat. Our room was very comfortable and there was also a guest's lounge area in an upstairs room with great views.
Breakfast was excellent and my request for a gluten free meal was not a problem.
This is a great place to stay if you're in the Grand Junction area.
