“Great for a place to sleep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

When I'm in Grand County I'm there to visit friends and play in God's country. This isn't the most fancy place and yes, some updates to the hallways and even some of the bathrooms would be nice but for the value and for a clean and nicely appointed place to sleep, this is it. This is the second time I've stayed in a studio suite and I can't wait to go back. It's just perfect for what I needed - again, a place to sleep. I haven't used the fireplace or even the kitchen but the kitchen seems like it's appointed just fine for what I would need to make meals if I needed to. You can always stay somewhere more expensive but when you are in Granby, you won't be spending much time inside to get use out of an expensive place anyway.

Rented an individuals condo inside the Inn at Silver Creek. No complaints about the condo at all except the view isn't much to be desired. The facilities and buildings themselves look much better on the outside than inside. Inside hallways are old and outdated with an old, musty smell. Nothing fancy here at all. I will definitely stay somewhere else if I ever return to Granby.

The pictures make this property look a lot better and newer than it is. No real complaints its just in need of a remodel Staff was very nice and helpful and the place was very clean. As others have mentioned there is no A/C but it wasn't really an issue in late August. A box fan and cool mountain air is very nice, but being below a chain smoker made it difficult. The amenities like the pool, bar, restaurant, game room, etc were all functional but run down. Our room was small and had a murphy bed but was functional. We choose to stay here because they allow you to bring your pets...so be aware there are a number of dogs. Even with all the dogs the place was pretty quiet. Its a beautiful part of the state but you really don't have any views here. 30 minutes to Grand Lake and RMNP, 15 to Fraser and Winter Park. Grochery store, McDonalds, Liquor Store and Subway right across the street.

Room Tip: First floor rooms have porches with access directly to the grass areas and parking lot. Great for t...

They got a "1" rating, because that's the lowest rating I could give them. They are actually a "zero".This place looks nice from the outside but that's as good as it gets. They have plumbing issues, some are similar to roll-aways with no box springs, it isn't very clean, and the staff isn't very friendly. If you go to the restaurant, take a book. It took 45 minutes for a waitress to even acknowledge some friends of mine and that was only after they asked if they were going to be served ... and that was just to get water.

Room Tip: Don't even go here.

What was once a decent lodging has deteriorated in all ways. Spent three days here for a convention of about two hundred. The big hits in the room...no forced air conditioning or ventilation (Yes, Granby can get warm!), cheap 3" open foam pad on bed over old mattress and box springs (but at least we had them), limited number of outlets-taken up by hotel equipment, inadequate room maintenance. Maintenance items reported to reception desk, which took over 24 hrs to perform. We were in a ground floor room facing the walking path and pond with constant fountain. Our wooden slate blinds was missing the angle rod-privacy issue took two reports to get fixed. Bathroom gave us first hint of maintenance issues-tub stained, caulking poorly or haphazardly applied, one faucet took two arms to pull on, etc. Horror stories from our other attendees started the day of arrival One couple required multiple room changes-reservation issue, toilet issue, etc. Another couple had a hide-a-bed as the primary bed. In convention center-no air conditioning or ventilation was working. The in-house restaurant, Harry Lemon, was a complete disaster. The wait staff were ill trained and unmotivated. Wait times for a six person table was 45mins to get drink order, that much longer to get our food. The delivered food was good but the experience had already gone south. The following night while at the Brick House 40 in Granby (A BIG yes!!!) other couples came in with the same wait staff problems. My hope is that some of the other attendees respond with their experiences. How bad was it? The inn's management and staff cost this location next year's convention. If at all possible, avoid this inn.

Room Tip: Not here-stay in Winter Park or Grand Lake.

Our room was clean and adequately suited our sleeping and cooking needs for two nights. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. We were disappointed with the restaurant service (food was fine, but took a LONG time to arrive), and we were disgusted with the quality of the salon (although we know it is not connected to the hotel). The location was great for our activities.
