“A Train Lovers Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

This is a place where every train lover needs to visit. They have a working roundhouse, A BIG BOY, a great garden train set up outside and inside SO much to see and learn about. Thomas the Tank even visits seasonally. Take the kids they will get to go in a caboose and see almost every type of train made. It is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon or morning with your family!

“Thomas the Train”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

We took our 2+ year old grandson to see Thomas the Train. The trains and rail yard were interesting and a fun place for our grandson to explore. However, Thomas the Train was not worth the extra expense or long lines.

“KIDS LOVE TRAINS”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

....Ok, maybe grandpa's love trains too! :) It was nice that the boys (young and old) could climb on most of the trains here. You never fully appreciate the size of a train until you are standing next to one, that's for sure!

“A great set of trains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

This somewhat haphazzardly displayed assortment of railroad paraphenalia give a fascinating overview of the romantic days of Colorado railroading. Lots of steam and diesel locomotives are on display as well as freight and passenger railroad cars and that odd ball hybrid auto/truck/powered railcar unique to the Colorado Southern RR called the Galloping Goose. There is a large garden model railroad and a HO train layout in the basement of the museum building. A must for train lovers, although being a Pennsylvanian I must point out that the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum in Strasburg Pa has a more organized but still extensive collection of exhibits
