So it's in a good location, right off the river with a neat deck overlooking the river, with a bike/ walking path. There was a Target close by for us to load up on snacks/drinks for our trip. The only downfall was the swimming pool was green. Call me a bad mother, but I still let my kids swim in it. That's the main thing my kids were looking forward to after driving 2 days already with 2 more to go, I couldn't tell them no. The hot tub was respectable.

Another plus is that it had a gues laundry, but the hours to wash was 6am to 12pm which was odd to me.

The manager and staff at this Quality Inn & Suites provided outstanding & exceptional service. I only witnessed the first example when Suzy, a staff member, found a wallet on the breakfast bar & spent many minutes locating the owner. The second example occurred a couple of hours after our departure, when Sean Cronin, the Manager, called us to inform us we had left a bathrobe in our room, & that he would mail it to us. On several previous occasions in other hotels, we have left items & called back, only to be told that nothing had been found. So, this was truly an exceptional experience. In addition, everything else about our stay was also fantastic; it was very clean, the breakfast was excellent & the staff was exceptionally friendly & helpful.

I never write reviews, but felt compelled to write a review on tripadvisor to warn future travelers of this hotel. This is not a place you want to stay. The management at the hotel is completely incompetent. There were many examples of this during our stay, but the one that really stood out was when they decided to spray paint during the middle of the day a few rooms down from ours. The smell was horrendous and couldn't believe they actually scheduled painting while there were people staying literally steps away. When I discussed this with the manager, he said it was an accident....No accountability. He simply said accidents happen, and too bad for you and your family. So, please, take it from me, DO NOT STAY HERE. I'm sure that more "accidents" will happen, and you'll just be asked to pardon the inconvenience.

This hotel is not worth its current rating. If you are looking for a quiet, civilized atmosphere, then this is not the place. Our room was large and clean with great bed linens but there was supposed to be a river view and it was almost entirely obscured by trees. Opposite our room, 3 families had taken three adjacent rooms and the noise was incredible with slamming doors and shouting and running along the corridors. When we complained, there had already been a complaint from the room underneath them. Nothing was done as far as we could tell. We arrived for breakfast just before 9.30am (when breakfast finished) only to find that everything apart from some bananas and some oranges had been taken away. We asked for some bread for toast and were told that we were 2 minutes too late! Nothing special about this place, apart from its cleanliness and linens.

First off we checked into our non smoking room. The room reeked of smoke, just as if somebody had just been smoking there before we walked into the room. Worst smokey room I have ever encountered. When we went back to the front desk to ask (beg if I have to, because I am so sensitive to cigarette smoke it literally makes me nauseous) for another room, the gal working there was less than concerned to say the least. She told us it was a busy time, and she didn't know if there was anything available. So we asked her again if she would please look to see if there was another room available. After her huge sigh, and the definite impression she absolutely did NOT want to punch in a couple of computer keys, she finally relented and looked it up on her computer. Yes there was another room, but she explained that it would be on the same floor as the room before. Fine, we took it. What we didn't realize is the smoking rooms are all on one side of the hallway and the non smoking rooms are right across the hall from the non smoking rooms, so you have a room that's non-smoking, the room directly across the hall from yours is a smoking room. Very stupid way of separating the smoking from the non smoking rooms in my opinion. The second room we had was much better smelling, but we could still smell smoke in our room, just a bit. It was tolerable so we just opened the windows and slept with them opened all night to keep the air less smelly. Interestingly enough, the room did supply a handful of breathe-right strips for people to use on their nose while sleeping so they could breathe through the night. The room was fine, but a little strange. The coffee maker was in the bathroom on the counter next to the toilet-very gross. No one in their right mind would want to use that coffee maker. The hotel has a pool. Extremely small, and the pool area smelt very mildewy. The hot tub was broken and not working while we were there. The breakfast was tolerable, nothing special. With this experience we will definitely get a different hotel in the future. If you are sensitive to smoke, I would recommend looking elsewhere to find a room.
