“Ramada Glenwood Springs evaluation”

They are remodeling and one elevator was down which makes it really hard to get an elevator to get to the top floor. We usually waited at least 10 minutes for one each time.
This place really needs to be updated and not updated cheaply like they are doing. The new wallpaper is already peeling off the walls!

We recently booked two nights at this facility over Memorial Day weekend for a soccer tournament. Setting aside the "normal" challenges local hotels face during this soccer/vacation weekend, this hotel fell flat on its face.

The hotel has NOT been remodeled as was advertised. In fact, it is currently being remodeled. Worse, the rooms where remodeling has been completed are negligibly better than those that haven't been. Remodeled for rooms we visited where friends lodged included only a new bathroom sink. There were no other noticeable improvements.

Rooms suffer from broken doors, cracks in the ceiling and walls, uncontrollable HVAC, toilet bowls left unattached to the floor, and water leaks.

This facility has been in disrepair for many years and it's not getting any better soon.

Finally, good luck with the Wi-Fi. The router limits the number of concurrent sessions and we rarely logged in successfully.

We had a great stay at the Ramada. We came in by train and we didn't know there was a shuttle so walked to the hotel (not a long walk) ... it's in a great location to walk to whatever we wanted to do, eat, pools, you name it.

After we checked in, we went to dinner and before we left we had the air down and up high so it would cool off, when we came back it was still warm. Tabitha H. at the front desk (Great Great Great customer service) gave us 2 other rooms to check out and we got settled into a new room (as it was too late for maintenance) and we were happy with the room. Clean, cool, and the bed extremely comfortable.

Yes they are doing some remodeling, but it really isn't a big deal to take the stairs or walk further down the hall to the other elevator. No restaurant / bar but we did get a great free breakfast buffet every morning including an omelet station.

Took shuttle back to train station and we would def. stay here again. Ramada should be proud of all their employees we encountered they were all friendly, made eye contact and willing to help but esp. Tabitha who went out of her way to make sure we got a cool room.

Room Tip: We checked out 3 of them and they were all good and the beds are beyond comfortable.

I understand they are under renovation and the crappy dated room with the practically unopenable window will no longer be soon, but it was when I went. The air conditioning didn't work which again I understand but it was pretty hot for April in my room, even with the kind-of-window open. For the price it was acceptable, however I chose to go to a different hotel the next night and had a much better room and experience for the exact same price.

Also the vouchers for the alienating breakfast basement full of screaming redneck children pretty much sealed the deal on the next night for me.

Room Tip: Ask for a fan?

This hotel is in dire need of updating. The staff was nice enough but the interior is tired and drab. I expected way more for a name brand hotel.
